A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'SDREAM

Good evening and welcome to our Key Stage Three Production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream'

On the eve of Midsummer's Night, the realms of reality and enchantment collide. Four young lovers, confronted with the bleak prospect of unwanted marriages, escape the confines of the Athenian court and find themselves in a bewitched forest. Close by, a troupe of novice performers practice a play to commemorate an upcoming royal wedding. As these ordinary individuals cross paths with the King and Queen of the Fairies, pandemonium ensues. While only the impish character known as 'Puck' understands where truth ends, and magic begins.
Our play tonight is out first ever full-scale performance in the wonderful Abbot's Hill Amphitheatre. We will explore the lighter side of love; how it makes us behave in strange and ridiculous ways, as well as bringing out our best and bravest qualities and can sometimes make us feel invincible
We hope you have the most magical of midsummer nights.
