Prep Sports Day
Sports day looked a little different in 2021 for the Abbot’s Hill girls but all of the pre-prep and nursery pupils put in a superb effort with their lockdown events. For pupils in Reception - Year 2 the girls were challenged to take part in ten different events. These ranged from sprint races, obstacle courses, the traditional egg and spoon race, throwing and jumping events. For every event that they participated in the girls gained a point for their clan, we had some superb videos sent in of wonderfully imaginative obstacle courses, excellent sprinting techniques and strong athletic performances. Their were also points available for the top three finishing positions in some categories. The overall response was superb and we were delighted to see the girls demonstrating so many athletic skills that they had learnt over the course of the year.
Abbot’s Hill takes part in Move-A-Thon
Abbot’s Hill Prep School took part in a national charity fundraiser Move-A-Thon.
The Olympic-themed workout was livestreamed into the classrooms at Abbot’s Hill and 18 other schools, pupils across the Prep School had great fun jumping, squatting and lunging!
Each School was raising money for its own chosen charity. Abbot’s Hill chose Place2Be as it’s charity to support as they are a vital for raising awareness of children’s mental health. They raised over £500. Thank you to all took part and donated.
