For over 30 years, Jean-Pierre “JP” Lardoux, AIA, NCARB, has made significant contributions to the quality of life of Long Island’s disability community. In his role as Founder and Principal Architect at Fusion Architecture, PLLC, Lardoux has worked extensively increasing the ease, safety, and accessibility of spaces for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as elderly, mentally ill, low-income, and homeless populations.
In a career marked by excellence, Lardoux specializes in providing comprehensive architectural planning and development services. He has successfully spearheaded over 100 residential renovations for AHRC Nassau and Citizens Options Unlimited, certified by New York State’s Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). He has also supported countless construction projects for day habilitation centers, Article 28, 31, and 32 Clinics, Corporate offices, schools, and summer camps. In addition to his hands-on involvement, JP serves as an ongoing expert resource. He generously volunteers his time to assess potential projects and offer guidance, enabling the exploration of various options and solutions during the initial stages of decision-making through commissioning. His expertise and willingness to assist have proven invaluable in helping determine the best course of action across dozens of provider organizations.
In addition to his extensive experience, Lardoux has expanded his professional qualifications. A graduate of NYIT, he is a registered architect in seven states, maintains memberships with The American Institute of Architects (AIA), is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), serves as a NYS CEO, HERS Rater, BPI Certified professional, Certified Green Globes Professional, CSI CDT, and NYS Home Inspector. Notably, Lardoux has been honored with six award-winning projects in the DOE Housing Innovation Awards for his expertise in zero-energy ready homes. These credentials further demonstrate his dedication and expertise in the field.
