BUILDING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park CONTRACTOR: Bergelectric OWNER: San Diego Symphony ARCHITECT: Tucker Sadler Architects PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project boasts a 13,000 sq. ft. stage and seats an audience up to 10,000. The
stage features a concert shell with a cantilevered roof, utilizing 5,000 individually controlled color changing Traxon lights for a one-of-a-kind experience. Installation included 42,500 LF of underground conduit, 170,266 LF Feeder wire, 88,140 LF of Branch underground conduit, 48,700 Branch Overhead conduit, 616,818 Branch wire, and 136,451 of Branch cabling. Bergelectric was responsible for all aspects of the electrical installation including fire alarm, Tel-data, security, CCTV, access control, lightning protection, DAS, and audio visual.

PROJECT: Legacy International Center CONTRACTOR: Clark Construction Group – CA, LP OWNER: Morris Cerullo Legacy Center Foundation ARCHITECT: Carrier Johnson PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Set on 18 acres, Legacy features a five-story hotel and spa, a pavilion with a
500-seat theater, a museum, a welcome center with an interactive 18-foot 3D globe and domed motion theater, and unique attractions such as a replica of the Wailing Wall, catacombs, 8,000 sq. ft. of outdoor retail space, an outdoor amphitheater, dancing multicolored fountains, and expansive gardens. The scope of work also included a 115,500-square-foot cast-in-place parking structure and a state-of-the-art central utility plant. Legacy features a host of sustainable features and has achieved LEED Certification. Legacy International Center is poised to change the area’s reputation with its unmatched combination of religious, secular, hospitality, cultural, educational, spa, dining, and retail offerings.
