Shoppers rewarded for shopping local

THE 2022 GMCU $25,500 Giveaway has awarded its first round of winners, each taking home a $500 voucher to be spent at almost 170 participating businesses, listed on page 25.

The first round of winners was drawn Monday, June 20, with another round of six winners drawn each Monday until July 21.

They won their cash bonus by shopping at Shepparton Spotlight, Coles and Chemist Warehouse at Riverside Plaza, Chemist Discount Centre and Lovell's Newsagency at Shepparton Marketplace, and Café Three620 in Kyabram.

For Bianca Geisler, who entered shopping at Coles Riverside, winning some extra cash is huge.

"WOW, thank you so much, it's so good, wonderful," she said. "Just at the right time, our house burnt down a few weeks ago, so this will help until the insurance comes through."

Being in the draw is easy. Simply spend $10 or more at any of the participating stores, fill in the online form, attach a photo of your receipt and send it in before Sunday, July 31, 2022.
