Modern Combatives Tournament

A Modern Combatives Tournament will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 7 at the Kleber Fitness Center, Bldg. 3235 on Kleber Kaserne. Throw, roll and grapple your way to claim the garrison championship! Open to active duty men and women. Trophies will be awarded to first place, second place and overall tournament champion. Standard rules apply. Registration and weigh-in will take place from 8 to 9 a.m. There will be a coaches meeting at 9 a.m., and the tournament begins at 10. The deadline to sign up is Sept. 6. Army versus Air Force Challenge Match

Come out and enjoy a friendly, yet competitive tournament of golf at the Army versus Air Force Challenge at 9 a.m. Sept. 7 at the Heidelberg Golf Course, An der Bundesstrasse 291, Oftersheim. This is an annual challenge between U.S. Army and Air Force personnel. Day 1 will be played at the Heidelberg Golf Club, and Day 2 will be played at the Woodlawn Golf Course on Ramstein. Human table football

On the occasion of the Intercultural Week 2013, Kaiserslautern will host the second Human Table Soccer World Cup from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 22. Organizers are also looking for a U.S. team. Boxing club open

The Miesau Ammo Depot Boxing Club has reopened. The club is open from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and is free to all.

Ice hockey players wanted

A photo finish Cain Hill turns in a first place time of 19:50 during Baumholder’s Women’s Equality Run Aug. 23 on Smith Barracks. Stroller pushers and runners with pets also had a chance for gold during this run after sports office officials added these categories to the competition. More than 80 people participated in the run.
