Who inspires you?

My wife. I mean, she puts up with me!

Where is the last place you traveled to?

Seattle. What a great city and we had some of the best sushi of our lives at Sushi Kashiba.

What is the next place you’re traveling to?

Paso Robles, CA. We will be there in November and plan to spend the week wine tasting.

What’s the most exciting part of your job?

The residents are the best part of my job. Learning about their backgrounds and experiences.

What’s your favorite food dish?

Cassoulet. Duck, pork, garlic, mirepoix, and beans simmered for hours? How can that be wrong?

What’s your favorite movie?

“Sideways” is one of my favorites; a good drama mixed with wine.

Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?

I am a former bagpipe player and plan to take it up again when I retire.

Have you met anyone famous?

I went to school with several people that went on to the NHL. Tahir "Tie" Domi would be the most famous and the Crowder brothers from the 1970s Bruins went to my high school (years before me though.)

Favorite things to do on the weekends?

Spending time with my wife and friends and getting out by myself on a nice bike ride.

Favorite thing to do with your family?

Travel! If it’s not family-centric our travel usually revolves around wine and cuisine.

Favorite tradition at home?

Friday evening sundowners on our patio in the Arizona outdoor season.

Favorite season?

Winter.

Which historical figure would you like to meet?

Aristotle. His keen mind literally started several branches of science, he wrote on everything from logic to theatre and music, influenced countless philosophers and theologians through the ages, and lived at a time when Greek culture was at its apex. The conversations I would have with him!
