New Smoking Cessation Resources

Quit Centre, a federally funded, national online resource for smoking and vaping cessation has released new online training and resources specifically for primary health care nurses.

Quit Centre’s ‘Smoking Cessation Brief Advice Training for Primary Health Care Nurses’, developed in consultation with primary health care nurses, supports the development of knowledge and skills to confidently provide smoking cessation care.

This training has been endorsed by the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) for CPD education.

Additional resources available through the website include clinical tools and guidelines including a practical guide for primary health care nurses, education and events with recorded webinars and podcasts, quick and easy referral to Quitline, latest news and research and access to the Quit Centre Quarterly newsletter.
