Congratulations on securing a temporary assignment with Adecco!
Working as a temp is a brilliant way of exploring different jobs and industries. It’s also great for making your work life fit nicely around your personal life or great for filling a gap whilst you’re looking for your perfect career move. But if you’re going to make temping work for you, you’ll need to know the ins and outs.
When you are on an assignment through Adecco, we are your employer; which means you will be very well looked after. We are responsible for paying you, dealing with any legislative requirements and keeping in touch with both you and the company you’re working for to make sure everyone is happy.
Thanks.

Most of our clients use our online system for timesheets. You will have access to your timesheets, payslips, etc via our online portal: https://connect.adecco.co.uk.
Please ensure your hours worked are submitted accurately each Friday after your working day. This will then be sent to the client for sign off.
All time sheets must be authorised and with us by 9.30am on Monday – every week.
If you have any trouble with the online portal/timesheets please see the following ‘how to’ videos:
View your timesheets easily by logging in to Connect Community account. If you’re unsure how to log in to your account, take a look at our ‘Quick Tip’ video below:

Once you’re logged in to your Connect Community account, you’ll need to access your weekly timesheets. Watch our ‘Quick Tip’ video below so you know exactly where to find them:

You’ll need to submit your timesheets each Friday following your working day. Our ‘Quick Tip’ video below will show you everything you need to know to avoid missing that deadline:

You are paid at an hourly rate, which you will have agreed prior to your assignment. Your pay will never be less than the National Minimum Wage.
Your weekly pay is the total hours you have worked multiplied by your hourly rate. Your Tax, National Insurance and Pension contributions are then automatically taken before your wages go into your bank.
You will receive your first wage on the Friday of your second week then we will pay you every Friday for the duration of your assignment. You will be paid directly into the bank account you have given us – so double check you have given us the correct bank details. Payslips will be visible and downloadable from the portal.
Should you have any queries regarding your pay please contact your local Adecco branch.
If they are unable to resolve the query, they will contact the relevant head office department for further information. The deadline for any queries is 10am on a Monday in order for us to rectify your query for payment that week, however it is always better to raise a query as soon as you can.
You are entitled to holiday pay while working for Adecco.
You are entitled to accrue up to 28 days per year (20 days plus 8 bank holidays) which will accrue in proportion to the amount of time you work. Adecco's holiday year begins on the Monday immediately following the last Friday in September and ends on the last Friday in September.
Once your time off has been approved by the company you’re working for, you need to complete and return a holiday form to us with at least 1 weeks notice. Adecco will provide final authorisation, so failure to provide 1 weeks notice could result in your holiday being declined. Holiday forms are available from your consultant.
All paid annual leave must be taken during the leave year in which it was accrued and may not be carried over. Any accrued untaken annual leave will be lost.
