Abbie Simpson

I am a BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion graduate with a professional background in graphic design, following a year-long industry placement. My academic and professional training covers key sectors including PR, creative marketing, branding, photography, and graphic design. My technical experience involves styling, packaging design, and the creation of magazine editorials using CAD. The projects hosted here represent my full body of work from my time at university, during which I was selected for several high-profile international research opportunities. This includes being selected as part of a small group of three students to travel to Guangzhou, China, to lead the 'Journey to the East' workshop. In collaboration with the Lingnan Institute of Technology, I shared project insights and engaged in cross-cultural knowledge exchange regarding global design and manufacturing. Additionally, this portfolio features specialised trend-forecasting assignments developed during a university-organised research trip to Amsterdam. These specific modules required an objective analysis of international lifestyle trends and local policy to evaluate their impact on global retail and branding. I remain deeply passionate about the symbiotic relationship between the music and fashion industries and how cultural movements drive creative innovation. Having completed my degree, I am now looking to apply my multidisciplinary skill set and gain further experience within the industry.
