A large range of products are available from ACOT500 ACOT500 says it is continuing to strengthen its position in the automotive and 4WD safety sector with its premium range designed specifically for demanding Australian conditions. ACOT500 Wheel Chocks are designed to suit a wide variety of vehicles and trailers, including trucks, caravans, plant equipment, service vehicles and 4WD touring setups. ACOT500 says the chocks’ aggressive tread profile provides excellent grip on a range of surfaces, helping reduce the risk of unwanted vehicle movement during servicing, loading, parking or recovery situations. Complementing the range are ACOT500’s premium Stainless Steel Wheel Chock Holders, designed for secure mounting and fast accessibility.
Australia’s ute-dependent industries like construction, utilities, agriculture, and emergency services share a common problem: standard vehicles don’t come ready for the job. “Tools get wet. Gear shifts in transit. Worker’s strain pulling equipment from deep tubs dozens of times a day. For fleet managers, the accessories fitted to those vehicles directly affect productivity, safety compliance, and operational cost”, HSP Vehicle Acessories Head of Sales and Marketing, Ash Bouyer, said. HSP Vehicle Accessories says it has built a product ecosystem to address these problems, with every core product in the range 100 percent Australian-designed, sourced, and manufactured in Country Victoria.
Upgrading the tub’s protection and functionality The HSP Roll R Cover is an electric roller cover with interlocking aluminium slats engineered to be ‘cut proof’ and features no external handles, eliminating a common point of forced entry. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the holders provide practical storage solutions for touring setups, fleets, and commercial vehicles operating in harsh Australian environments. ACOT500 has also expanded its safety offering with Warning Triangle Kits, heavy-duty Galvanised Steel Warning Triangle Brackets, and ACOT500 Safety Flags. The company also offers durable Wheel Nut Indicators, designed to provide a simple visual reference for identifying wheel nut movement and potential loosening before it becomes a serious safety issue. Further strengthening the range are ACOT500 First Aid Kits, developed to support workshops, fleet vehicles and remote touring applications where preparedness is critical. As demand continues to grow across the 4WD, caravan and fleet sectors, ACOT500 says it remains focused on delivering rugged, professional-grade safety products built for Australian operating conditions. It integrates directly with a vehicle’s factory remote, in-cab lock buttons, a touchpad, the HSP app, and Siri voice command, giving operators five modes of access without the need for separate keys or fobs. The Roll R Cover’s side rails also feature a fulllength channel that acts as a foundation for the HSP Load Bar crossbar system and Load Rack Pro, allowing fleet vehicles to add-on racking options to carry equipment without compromising tub access below. On the other hand, the HSP Roll Mate offers a manual, hard, lockable roll-up cover with a hybrid mounting system compatible with sports bars and sailplanes. It provides the same physical tub protection and security of a hard lid without the wiring, and installation takes under an hour, making it a practical option when outfitting many vehicles at once. “A major win for fleet managers is the versatility of the Roll Mate, which can be taken off and stored in the tub in minutes when the fleet needs full tub access,” Ash said.
Getting more out of the tub The HSP Load Rack Pro is a heavy-duty tub rack with a 150kg dynamic weight capacity, built to carry loads including ladders, timber, pipes, and other long or oversized materials that won’t fit in the tub. It is available as full kits or single rear bar, and can dock to different heights depending on what the job requires. The HSP Load Slide is a retractable tray that extends 75 percent out from the tub and holds up to 250kg. It operates with one hand and features a non-slip Heska surface with side rails and tiedown points at multiple latch positions. “The Load Slide was designed specifically to reduce the physical demand of accessing a ute tub,” Ash said. “For a tradie doing that 30 or 40 times a day across different sites, that’s a meaningful reduction in strain and time.”
The tailgate problem no one talks about Manual tailgate handling is a documented source of hand, wrist, and shoulder injuries in trade and industrial settings. The HSP Tail Assist uses a dual gas strut system to control the tailgate’s descent and prevent sudden drops. A single-strut option is available for vehicles with existing torsion bars, and installation requires no specialist tools, taking anywhere between five and 45 minutes depending on the model. “The Tail Assist is one of the quickest ways to upgrade fleet offerings,” Ash said. “It is a passive safety improvement. Workers don’t need to change how they work, the risk is just removed.” Because HSP designs, sources, and manufactures in Australia, the company says fleet managers benefit from shorter lead times, locally based support, and faster resolution when issues arise compared to imported alternatives. The range is compatible with Australia’s most widely used work utes, including the Ford NextGen Ranger, Toyota Hilux SR5, Mitsubishi Triton MV, Isuzu D-Max, and the Ford Super Duty.
