On behalf of all the team here at Punchestown I would like to extend a very warm welcome back to the home of Irish jump racing. Today marks the first of our jump fixtures for the 2022/2023 season and the staff have been working very hard behind the scenes to ensure the track looks impeccable!

As you arrived here today you will have seen that we have been very busy with a flagship project as the track widening and extension is well under way. This investment was very carefully considered as, like any additions here, it needs to work hard and serve purpose! This project provides further flexibility for Punchestown to significantly improve the existing layout of the racetrack and it will also greatly assist in accommodating our current racing programme while providing the potential for it to be further enhanced going forward.

We would like to welcome todays sponsors; Paddy Power and Irish EBF. Without the support of sponsors racing wouldn’t be possible and we are very thankful for their contribution both to Punchestown and racing overall.

To all the owners, trainers, jockeys, stable staff we would like to wish you a successful and healthy season. As the temperatures drop, the racing action heats up and our next fixture here is tomorrow, Wednesday 12 October where the GR3 Irish Daily Star Chase takes centre stage.
