Hey there D38W owls! Can you bee-lieve we won the spirit stick?! Because I hardly can! Being in my senior year and having the opportunity to finally go to Fall Rally has been amazing. I loved being in such a spirited atmosphere with all of you wild owls and I know that the time and effort each and every one of you put into learning the chants that our Fall Rally coordinators created really paid off. Without you guys, we would’ve never stood a chance against the other divisions. With the end of the year quickly approaching, I hope you all get to accomplish the goals you had set for yourselves earlier this year whether they be Key Club related or not. I can’t wait to finish this year off with a bang at the Rose Float Decoration and I hope to see lots of you there!
Just keep hooting!

Hello Bee-autiful Owls of Division 38 West! Wow, I just can’t believe that November has gone by so quickly. It just seems like yesterday when we were all gathered together to prepare for Fall Rally, and now look where we are! We have not only successfully contributed over $500 to PTP, but have also finally won the Spirit Stick after three years of making to the final round! None of this would have been possible without all your hard-work and dedication in raising money for the Pediatric Trauma Program and in preparing for Fall Rally. Your contributions to PTP have changed the lives of hundreds of children in California and in all of the United States, providing them with the tools and resources needed to lead safe and fruitful lives. I also want to thank all of you for being part of my last Fall Rally, and for making it one of the most memorable and heartwarming events of my life! But our journey of service is not yet over and there is still much we can do to impact our homes, schools, and communities. As we approach Thanksgiving, remember to not only give thanks and appreciation for what you have been given, but also spread your love for service by helping those who are less fortunate experience a warm and joyful Thanksgiving. Never forget that all your dedication and service will help make your community and this world a better place. Thank you Owls once again for this amazing month, and I hope you all have a wonderful day! L-O-V-E I love my D-I-V!

“Fall Rally South 2015 was an amazing experience! Not only did we win the spirit stick but we got to spend an amazing day at Six Flags with Key Clubbers from all over SoCal! Everyone had an immense amount of spirit and enthusiasm. I had never seen so many tutus and glitter in one area before! I’m definitely looking forward to Fall Rally 2016, maybe we’ll even win the spirit stick two years in a row!” -Sabrina Rashid, T he Pal md ale Aerospace Academy
“Fall Rally is a great way to meet new members within your region! I enjoy coming to Fall Rally because the first time I came was one of the reasons I fell in love with and became hooked on Key Club. I love the fact that a variety of people come together to celebrate what we have done to help their community, specifically PTP.” - Brian Paek, Highland High School “This year's Fall Rally South was a huge success! Division 38 West managed to bring home the CNH spirit stick. It was my second and most successful Fall Rally. I met many new friends, had a ton of fun, and met some amazing Key Clubbers. Fall Rally always causes me to want to go above and Bee-yond the means of service. It was an overall positive and memorable event and I can’t wait to go back next year!” - Sophie Bryden, Quartz Hill High School

“Fall Rally South 2015 was a lot of fun! I met many Key Clubbers (around 500) and I got to spend time with my amazing LGT, Hyeveen, and QHHS’s Treasurer, Hannah. Hannah and I walked around the entire park talking to random Key Clubbers, asking them how they feel and giving lots of hugs and love. It was such a heart warming experience since everyone at the park was very open and was just as outgoing and spirited as we were that day. I got the amazing opportunity to auction our LTG with my fellow DLT member, Parth. During this period of time, I got to see how spirited our Key Club was through the eyes of the judges. Although we weren’t the biggest, I though we were the most uniform and spirited...and I was right! WE WON THE SPIRIT STICK! I felt myself tear up when I hear who the winner was. D38W. I knew it was many of the graduating owls’ dream to finally win the spirit stick. Although this was my first Fall Rally, this certainly won’t be my last. I feel as if I fit right in with the thousands of other Key Clubbers that attended that day. Key Club is my family, my Ohana.” -Margarett Lee, Quartz Hill High School “Fall Rally 2015 was such an unforgettable experience for me. Being a Fall Rally first-timer and co-coordinator, I didn't know what to expect. Just looking around and seeing thousands of teens that share the same extreme passion to serve left a huge mark on me. Honestly, I cannot put into word how proud I was when we on the spirit stick! I crave the energy and the hype that was evident throughout the entire day, and I can't wait to come back next fall!”
“I had an amazing first experience at Fall Rally, something that made it so great was the people that attended. The entire park was full of creative chants, amazing costumes, and fun spirit battles. Though the event itself was a bit wild, I never once felt uncomfortable in joining in on the spirit. At the end of the day I had more fun telling people how I felt than by going on the rides and I hope to attend more owl-tastic events in the future.” -Aroni Garcia, The Palmdale Aerospace Academy
-Aubrey Gilman, Paraclete High School

RECOGNITION Member of the Month: Isaiah Han Division 38 West’s member of the month is Isaiah Han from Highland High School. Isaiah always shows an immense passion for Key Club but at Fall Rally he seemed to be one of our Division’s loudest members. Without members like Isaiah who put time aside to memorize and practice all of our chants, we would’ve never been able to win the Spirit Stick with such tough competition!
Officer of the Month: Hannah Ban Division 38 West’s officer of the month is Quartz Hill High School’s Treasurer, Hannah Ban! Hannah put lots of time and effort into organizing Quartz Hill’s Fall Rally prep sessions. Along with Highland High School, Quartz Hill also had great member attendance at Fall Rally South. Without great officers like Hannah, our clubs would never be well organized enough to have such great successes like winning this year’s spirit stick!
14
Club of the Month: Highland High School Division 38 West’s club of the month is Highland High School. Highland had an excellent attendance at Fall Rally and seemed to have the greatest dedication and spirit. All of their members could be hear loud and clear and their unwavering spirit stood as a testament to how much time and effort they spent together not only practicing their cheers, but also creating some very creative spirit gear!
CONGRATULATIONS! Don’t forget to congratulate these Key Clubbers and club members the next time you see them!
