The

Recap…………………………… 2 Fall Rally……………………….. 2

month of November is known as the month of giving thanks. The Key Club year is halfway over, I would like to give you all thanks for being so great over the course of this Key Club year! Fall Rally was extremely fun with you all, and it was good to see our division together in cheering. Regardless, I would like to see a greater attendance at DCM’s so that we may polish up our organization and increase the interaction and communication between schools. How great would it be if we could be one of the powerhouse divisions at DCON 2011 and next year’s Fall Rally?

Remember that if your school wants to host a DCM in your school, speak to your divisional board and regional advisor about it. Also speak to your club advisor about asking the school principal or vice principal to let your home club borrow a few classrooms or cafeteria for the whole division to use for a meeting room. Thanks for your time, Key Clubbers! Programmed for Service, Victor Ly Divisional Technology Editor

“Caring - Our Way of Life”

This year was my first time going to Fall Rally, but I’d say it was rather a familiar experience for me. The atmosphere during the Spirit Session was very similar to RTC last year and DCON because everyone was so excited and was having so much fun. Although I’m disappointed that our division did not receive the spirit stick, I’m very proud of all the people who sacrificed their vocal chords and cheered their hearts out today. The leisure time we had after the Spirit Session was especially fun because I got to meet a lot of new people and received a lot of free hugs! Everyone there was so friendly and nice that I didn’t feel shy to approach someone and strike a conversation. The best part of our leisure time was whenever somebody asked, “How do you feel?” and also during the only spirit battle I was in. I did feel a little bad for the general public, though; some of them seemed to be really annoyed with the constant cheering, especially on rides and in line. Some people even made fun of the cheering Key Clubbers. We didn’t stop cheering, though, because of our passion for Key Club. Even though Fall Rally didn’t feel like something completely new to me, it is definitely an experience I won’t forget. Brittnee Bui Quartz Hill High School

Eastside High School Eastside Key Club has been up to a lot of business recently! Towards the end of October, the club hosted an E-waste fundraiser in which people donated their old and useless electronics to the club. The money they made will be going towards various projects and to their club. Eastside also did some community clean up on November 11th, which was Your Own Way Day of Key Club Week!

On Friday, November 11th, we partnered with Link Crew and Waste Management to clean up the open lot on the Eastside. It was lots of fun and as a gift from Waste Management our school received a recycling bin that will encourage Eastside High School students to recycle.
