LTG’s Message Hello Owls! Wow, another month has passed in our term and there is only 6 more months until the current board retires and a new board is installed. Time truly does fly when we're having fun! I wanted to first point out that we had over 100 attendees at the September DCM, and what a milestone! I saw a lot of familiar faces and a lot new ones, and I just wanted to say, "Welcome to our Ohana!" I am so thankful that you have joined us at this DCM and I hope you continue your Key Club Journey all throughout your high school experience, because truly, Key Club will make such a positive impact in your life. Whether it be coming to DCMs, attending service events, or even going to Fall Rally and DCON, cherish every moment you have, big or small. These are the fun-filled memories you will remember forever. RTC is approaching fast and I strongly encourage all of you to attend this event, which is filled with workshops and spirit. For the price of $10, you will be able to receive tons of information from workshops, eat delicious food, attend a College Expo, and a dance to top it all off! I can't wait to see you all there! Lastly, thank you. Whether your friend dragged you to your first DCM, or you accidentally walked into a Key Club Meeting, what matters is that you stayed. I hope to see every single one of you grow as leaders and develop passion and love for this amazing service organization. Good luck with all your school endeavors, and I'll talk to you soon! Serving to Make a Change, JiMin Margarett Lee

On August 27, 2016, Division 38 West held the August DCM, themed "The Magic of Service!" Members arrived at Lancaster City Park at 2pm to be greeted by the Division Leadership Team and begin bonding with our Key Club ohana! Following Presidents’ Reports and Key Club Education, members enjoyed Harry Potter themed games and were rewarded with prizes! Not only did attendees have the opportunity to make "magical" memories at this event, but they also earned 1 service hour by making friendship bracelets for the children's wing of AV Hospital.

Members compete for prizes in the “Levitating Donuts” game.

Members make friendship bracelets for pediatric patients.

Recognitions Club of the Month: Eastside High School The officers of Eastside High School's Key Club have been trying their best to make their Key Club better and more involved in division events. The officers have reached out to better serve their clubs and to be more aware of their duties as officers. Not only that, the board is also working hard to make this Key Club term unforgettable by their school and their peers.

Member of the Month: Isaiah Han Isaiah Han is being recognized as the September Member of the Month for Highland High School's Key Club. He has been recognized as one of their most consistent members since his first attendance at their first General Meeting. He is also the only General Member to attend both the August and September DCM. However, the main thing that caught their attention was the fact that he rode his bike to each of these occasions, which are usually 10-15 minute drives by car. His dedication to helping our community is something that should be recognized by the division.

Recognitions Officer of the Month: Tamara Gonzales With academics in full blast and being involved in different school activities, Tamara manages to fulfill her secretary duties for Lancaster's Key Club. However, something that is very surprising that she told us was that she had staples in her head that had to be removed, but nonetheless still submitted her MRF. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
