Albany United Football Club Sponsors On behalf of all the members at Albany United FC, we would like to acknowledge and THANK our club sponsors for their contributions

On behalf of all the members at Albany United FC, we would like to acknowledge and THANK the following foundations for their contributions

Albany United Football Club President’s Message We welcome everyone to Rosedale Park for what we trust will be an enjoyable day of football.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers, managers, coaches, supporters, staff, sponsors and my fellow board members for all your hard work in making our club successful.

Today’s main fixture we welcome Papatoetoe AFC squad and their supporters to the ‘Dale for the NRFL fixture. Last time the two clubs met , Papatoetoe was victorious taking all 6points on the day with a 4-3 win for Reserves and 1-0 win for Firsts. Winning goals in the dying moments of both games.

Today’s task is a must win for both clubs sitting in the lower half of the table. While we have some gap between us, one weekend could see that gap disappear, so we must put in an effort worthy of the points and show the attitude that we want to win. We are capable and show glimpses of this but must dig deep and show this more consistently.

To the hard work the squad puts in every week, Thank You. You wear the club jersey and colours with pride that stands testament to many people that currently and previously put in to make our club a success and a home. Our past is important to remember so we don't’ forget who we are while creating new history. So really Thank you to everyone in the club .

Our Reserves who both on and off the field provide the club support wherever they can, Thank you. Whilst the match officials might say they don’t want it, im sure they appreciate and absolutely welcome your views from the sideline. First time these two met, the team was only starting to come together and on the day riddled with injuries, saw the team down to 11 players and bringing up some of or U19s to assist. Joint top of the table, every game is now curtail with four teams on the same points and six in the hunt for the title.

Around the club we are having another great season with pretty much almost all our teams sitting in the top half of their respective tables. More of the same please, we still have great representation in the NFF cups, so lets bring it all home.

Best of luck to our coaching and management staff and the squad for their respective fixtures today.

To all our Senior teams both home and away; U19s, Africans, Athletic, Red United , Young Poles, Humble FC, Redmen, Champs, Brewers, North End, Watsons Heroes, Mad Dogs, DevilsRock United, Originals and Nortons, do us proud.

Welcome to all our opposition and supporters to Rosedale. I wish you an enjoyable day and invite you to relax in our clubrooms after

Rashaad Vahed Club President

Albany United Football Club Vice-President’s Message Welcome everyone to Rosedale Park for fixtures today.

A massive thank you must go firstly to all the coaches, managers, players, volunteers, supporters , club staff and sponsors for all you do for the club. To my colleagues on the board , Thank you for the long hours and work you do and for the support you provide me.

We are Albany and our brand is nothing without the work you all do , so Thank you to everyone associated with our club.

The main fixture today on field 1 we welcome Papatoetoe AFC staff , players and supporters to the ‘Dale. Papatoetoe are young group still developing and their type of play is not a true reflection of their standings. They are a dangerous group and today we must show fight and determination to win. Its a must win for both and we must show character today, coupled with attitude.

Were targeting 6points for the squad and nothing less so go get it boys, #COYR

To our Reserves , compliment and a well deserved win last week that now sees them joint top. More of the same today, as the fixture for both clubs are a vital one aswell. Thank you for all that you do for us. On field you are one of the top contenders for the league title so don't be satisfied and complacent because of where you are on your table. Keep pushing and keep fighting. Off field, the support and encouragement you provide us is noticed, seen and treasured. Thank you to you guys for always being there and supporting the club.

I wish our squad the best for today fixtures.

To the rest of our fellow Seniors U19s, Africans, Athletic, Red United , Young Poles, Humble FC, Redmen, Champs, Brewers, North End, Watsons Heroes, Mad Dogs, DevilsRock United, Originals and Nortons, whether home or away I wish you success today.

Welcome everyone to Rosedale. Have a great afternoon , enjoy The football on display and enjoy a relaxing time in the clubrooms after.

Albany United Football Club First Team Comments Ian Cliffe First Team Coaching Staff

Welcome Papatoetoe their coaching and management team and supporters to our side of the bridge and Rosedale Park. I would also like to extend a warm greeting to all our supporters . For Albany this season has not been one that could be characterised as us being on the lucky side of fortune at critical stages. Serious injuries occurring at key times amongst important positions and/or players (usually at the same time!) which then tactically limits the squads makeup. We are presently down quite a few with longer term injuries ranging from concussion to broken joints. Despite these challenges our team has improved vastly and with a bit more luck we could have progressed a lot further this year.

Last week against Lynn Avon whilst evenly contested, we just didn’t show up. The margin of success was very narrow and we didn’t hang onto the lead we got. Our performance lacked emphasis to want to win and today we must show far better mental toughness and physical effort if we want to stand a chance of winning.

This year, the teams in our competition are a lot closer in regard to ability levels, making for competitive games right across the table. Papatoetoe have also had their own challenges and have put in some good results. No doubt they will come to Rosedale and give their all in this important fixture.

I look forward to an exciting match and I hope it is one that all supporters will enjoy.

Jeremy Wilkinson First Team Captain Welcome to Rosedale Park for today’s fixture in which we host Lynn Avon United. After some mixed results over the last few weeks, win, loss and draw despite us being depleted in numbers and not at 100%. There is still more to give and we must take last week to heart as we held the position to make that something and didn’t. To the reserves that helped last week, Thank you very much. You echo the club culture and values. We did superbly against North Force two weeks ago and need some of that spirit and passion today to come away with something from today. We shouldn’t be despondent by the draw last week as we have the power the change that that. We have another opportunity at home to showcase what we can do and must do today. Papatoetoe will be here to all effort into taking the points home, so every player on or off the field needs to push through, put on the shirt with pride and give everything they have. I know the boys are all well up for it today so COME ON YOU REDS!! #COYR A massive thank you to the continued supporters, especially our reserves who push us each week at training and then give all their support off the field. A huge thank you to all our sponsors for your commitment into the team and to the club officials behind the scenes.

Albany United Football Club Reserve Team Comments Gary Hogg Reserves Coaching Team

Josh Anderson Reserve Team Captain

Albany United welcome Papatoetoe, their staff and supporters to ‘The Fortress’ for today’s league encounter.

Another win! This time at home to Lynn Avon. Heading into round 15, we were one point of top, a win was extremely important to maintain our push for the league title.

Some ups and downs the last few weeks but we maintain our form despite a depleted team. Three nil up at half time we went into the second half far too complacent and could have almost lost last week. We picked ourselves up and pulled thru and so our overall performance was great but we need to concentrate for 90mins. It became a well deserved win from our play but could have been very different.

A first half performance I was pleasantly pleased with and well if any critism could be said, it was that we should have put a few more away. Sitting comfortable with 3-0 at half time we switched off and let go of the dominance we had which saw them get back into the game. 3-2 up we knew we had to change that attitude and quickly.

That has put us back into the hunt for the league but into a mix of 5-6 other teams all chasing the title. Level on top but level with 4 others, we mustn’t take our foot off or get complacent at any time.

Papatoetoe last time out we managed to get an eleven onto the pitch and with some playing out of position we still brought about a close encounter, but lost 4-3.

We need to put this one away early so we can mend a few niggles and secure the points we need. The boys know what needs to be done and as usual put a tremendous amount of work this week in preparation.

To my guys I personally ‘Thank you’ all for the efforts this week and I can’t wait to see all the hard work you have been putting in at training finish up with a win today.

Thank you to Mahmoud and ‘The Godfather’ Bill for their dedication to this team and helping the boys individually.

We got back to dominating possession and superb goals saw us get number 4 and 5 to seal the points we needed. A deserved 5-2 win in the end. A special mention to our resident team old Chris Lines for Player of Day We now sit joint top and playing on of the contenders for the league. Today is an important fixture and we must do what we need to, to take all three points. If we take things for granted today, then needless to say we can easily slip up and lose, so we will be working hard to ensure the win and still in the hunt for the title. “We didn’t underestimate them. They were just a lot better than we thought.” - Sir Bobby Robson See you all in the clubhouse!

Meanfeet was established in 2011, operating out of Glen Innes, Auckland. Sportsman themselves, Geoff and Fraser were just like everyone else, wanting premium branded sports footwear but at competitive prices. So where else to go but online and import it from overseas. The problem was, exchange rate, import duty, lengthy delivery times, near impossible returns and customer service that operated in an opposite time zone. So what if you didnt have wait fo delivery, didnt have cross your fingers that import tax would sting you and had a way of returning what wasnt right to get what you wanted? They started a store in Glen Innes, Auckland to stock leading worldwide premium brands and have them at competitve prices. They offer free NZ national delivery with free returns if something is not quite right and fantastic customer service backing up the business. Better yet, if your in Auckland, you can have same day delivery or visit their store at 128 Apirana Avenue , Glen Innes, Auckland P: 0800 632 633 E: info@meanfeet.co.nz W:www.meanfeet.co.nz
