Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted. 3
Reports and actions on mandates received
AU Discussed Committee restructure and AP is working through it with each club. Clubs can decide their own committee structure. The number of socials has dropped but there is more weekend activity. More third year and Masters students tend to go out on a Wednesday night than newer students. Students are increasingly gout out for a meal. Soc Fed Straight forward meeting SRF Straightforward meeting Scrutiny Committee This meeting was not quorate. Ordinary students There were no updates. 4
Drafting of new campaign priorities
The Campaigns Priorities have been approved and the document is available on the website. 5
Summary report on progress from each Officer

Planning next year’s campaigns – commuting students and student retention Delivered workshop at LTE Conference Working on Star Awards NSS – ¾ of students have completed it which is a 15% increase since SU involvement
GA Gave out free fruit and water in the Library Housing Awards – three of the main sponsors won the key awards
 
Drink spiking campaign showed there were a lot students had their drink spiked in Middlesbrough Yes to Respect campaign

Summary report of student engagement against annual plan including SU on Tour
GA noted the SU on Tour this year has not been as effective as previous years. As there are now three officers there is less time. It was agreed that it needs made a priority and the sessions must not be moved for other meetings. The Officers noted that one Officer on their own is not enough. It was suggested involving the Reps. It was noted that a review of where to go on campus needs to be done and an analysis after each session would be beneficial. 7
Honorary Life Membership proposal
There were no updates. 8
Announcements and Any Other Business
The Committee discussed the various award ceremonies and where Student Reps fit. They were part of the Star Awards but the University asked them to be moved elsewhere. They are part of the AU Awards Dinner this year but there was some concern that this is not the right place. Two forums have their own awards ceremony. Should Student Reps have their own? It was agreed that all awards given in each ceremony should be review including why they are given. Action: AP to take forward 9
