Minutes of the Previous Meeting
GR noted that Dance were charged for tech staff when they used the Hub. They booked the £4.50/head buffer. Clubs paid £100 to uses the Brittan Building. All clubs coaches should be first aid trained. If not, the club coach is not trained, they must have another one. The minutes of the previous meeting were noted. 3
Reports and actions on mandates received
AU There is a leak in Olympia – GR is in conversation with Mark Hawking who has spoken to Estates. The curtains, floor and karate mats are in the same position. GR noted nothing will happen before Christmas. Cheerleading – fundraiser/donations for a foodbank – could University catering donate nonperishable food. SB noted she has spoken to Glenn Cooper, Licensed Trade Manager, who said they can do it but there would need to be a set place where food can be left and someone who can take the donations to the foodbank. SB is looking into it. Massage chair – GR is meeting with Mark Hawking. Concussion training – GR will look into it. Action: GR to take forward Soc Fed Rainbow social – two society members asked if there could be another one without the lights and not as loud but it will always be loud when karaoke is on. GR said they could do another one but not sure if would work or could do a separate society social. GR noted he can look into it. SRF There was no update. Scrutiny Committee There was no update. Ordinary students There were no updates.

The Officers’ presented their objectives which were accepted by the Committee. 5
Summary report on student engagement against annual plans, including SU on Tour
SB noted the Officers are picking some areas to work on. They will email those [to who?] – let know feedback. 6
Honorary Life Membership proposal
AC noted online nominations will open mid-February for three to four weeks. The Committee will decide the winner(s). The chairs can promote this to their forums once it is live. 7
Announcements and Any Other Business
It was noted there is a gambling problem, predominantly by males in clubs. They are doing match betting or sky betting. They are getting their first loan and then it’s gone. LW noted it is an issue in societies as well. It can be done on mobiles so no one can tell it is happening. LW noted there are some students experiencing imposter syndrome. They are thinking they shouldn’t be here as they are not good enough and they are not doing to get jobs. LW to forward to details to AL. Action: AL to look into it. 8
