Past Meetings

Our meeting on Tuesday 5 October was Club Assembly during which a number of important issues were raised. Membership Director Phil put to the members that we sponsor the formation of a Rotaract Club to function within our general area. This could be either a traditional model of having face to face meetings or be an “eclub” using the internet as the meeting medium. In either case, the Rotaract Club can be a feeder for membership of our Rotary Club at some stage.

At our meeting on Tuesday 19 October, we were privileged to have as guest speaker, Retired Detective Sergeant Terry Harding, formerly of the South Australian Police. Terry served 37 years in SAPOL and for 33 years of that was a detective. He was based at Port Adelaide CIB sor some years before moving to the Drug Squad in the late 1980’s, He later served Organised Crime Investigation and later was seconded to the National Crime Authority investigating large scale drug importations and interstate movement of Phil proposed that we have someone from District drugs. 9510 address the members at a meeting on the for- It was during some routine enquiries in the southern mation of a Rotaract Club.
