AGR TEAM - Victoria con récord en Misano

Joel Kelso ha sido imparable durante la séptima prueba del FIM CEV Repsol en el trazado de Misano Marco Simoncelli. Partiendo desde la tercera posición el piloto conseguía liderar el grupo cabecero desde la primera curva pese a recibir un fuerte contacto durante la salida. El australiano marcó el ritmo de carrera desde los primeros compases manteniendo un liderato ininterrumpido en las primera diez vueltas. Kelso mantuvo una incesante lucha por las posiciones de podio durante los últimos giros de la prueba. Sin desfallecer al esfuerzo el piloto se impuso al resto con astucia logrando volver

alcanzar la primera posición. Finalmente Joel Kelso suma su segunda victoria en su palmarés consiguiendo batir el récord actual de la vuelta rápida en carrera (1:43.451)

Mattia Volpi prosigue con su aprendizaje en la categoría de Moto3, finalizando en la vigésimo sexta plaza. El piloto italiano continúa acumulando experiencia en competición tras mantener una incesante lucha en el tercer grupo de carrera tras verse perjudicado debido a un accidente múltiple a comienzos de la prueba. Nuestro piloto supo manejar con destreza la penalización tras exceder los límites de la pista en las últimas vueltas, logrando recuperar dos puestos desde el inicio.

Joel Kelso: “¡Ha sido maravilloso! He liderado desde el principio y durante el transcurso de la carrera he ralentizado mi ritmo para observar a mis rivales. En la última vuelta lo he dado todo pese a estar en mi límite. Ha sido un gran fin de semana para nosotros y lucharemos por terminar así de fuertes la temporada. Agradecer al equipo y a mi familia”.

Mattia Volpi: “Estoy feliz porque he mejorado en un segundo mi ritmo de carrera y he conseguido rodar cerca de los registros delanteros. Me ha perjudicado el incidente de tres pilotos en pista, he estado rodando en solitario. Me han penalizado con una long lap penalty, terminando en la 26º”.

Estoy muy contento con el potencial que ha demostrado Joel Kelso durante la carrera con un gran adelantamiento en las últimas vueltas. Mattia Volpi tiene que seguir trabajando porque estamos convencidos de que los resultados llegarán. Durante este fin de semana ha demostrado ser muy competitivo en condiciones de lluvia. Joel Kelso was unstoppable during the seventh round of the FIM CEV Repsol at the Misano Marco Simoncelli track. Starting from the third position, the rider managed to lead the header group from the first corner despite receiving a strong impact during the start. The Australian set the pace of the race from the first laps, maintaining a constant lead in the first ten laps. Kelso fought for podium positions during the final laps of the event. Without fainting the effort, the rider beat the rest managing to return and reach the first position. In the end, Joel Kelso added his second victory in his career, beating the current record for the fastest lap in the race (1:43.451)

Mattia Volpi continues his traineeship in the Moto3 category, finishing in 26th place. The Italian rider continues to accumulate experience in competition after a relentless fight in the race, after being injured by a multiple accident at the start of the race. Our rider skilfully managed the penalty after exceeding the limits of the track in the last laps, working to regain two positions from the start.

Joel Kelso: "It was wonderful! I led from the beginning and during the course of the race I slowed down my pace to analyse my rivals. In the last lap I gave everything despite being on my limit. It has been a great weekend for us and we will fight to finish this strong season. Thank to the team and my family".

Mattia Volpi: "I’m happy because I’ve improved on a second my race pace and I’ve been close to the front group pace. I got harmed by the incident of three riders on the track and I rode alone. I got penalized with a long lap and I finished 26º".
