Mountain View Key Club: Bullis Charter School Volunteer
This month, Mountain View helped out at a math fair at Bullis Charter School. The event was for elementary and middle schoolers to become more interested and involved in mathematics. Volunteers lead students through math, logic, and strategy games. At each station, the kids could get raffle tickets for participating and doing well there. —Annette

D34 South Lieutenant Governor 2017-2018 Hey Penguins! My name is Veronica Martin and I am your 2017-2018 Lieutenant Governor! I am currently a junior and presiding over Lynbrook Key Club. I joined freshman year, thinking that Key Club was only a service club and I never thought I would become so involved and part of an Ohana. Needless to say, I found my passion to lead,help others and my community, and to be selfless. Coming from a small club, helping more of my members with their Key Club journey has been overall amazing. One of my main goals for this term is to significantly improve the organization of our division. I believe that a strong division will lead to the successes of individual clubs. You can think of it this way; the base of Key Club comes from the division and each club is a supporter. In addition, I hope to encourage participation in division-wide events and inspire personal character building. On the other hand, I love traveling, socializing, eating--of course--and going on adventures. Some of my favorite kinds of food/snacks are poke (I love Go-Fish Poke Bar), ramen (Nongshim Shin Ramen in Black is
my go-to), PMT, Korean BBQ,sushi,and pizza. Despite going broke on endless food adventures, I love to exercise and go hiking. I used to play volleyball and softball so, I try to stay active as much as possible. In my free time, I like to play video games on my PS3, graphically design on Illustrator, watch/edit videos, and play with makeup. At home, I like to watch horror or comedy movies and listen to music. I would say that I have a large music taste--which depending on my mood,ranges from calm instrumental to lit hip-hop,rap,+ R&B. I also listen to EDM and a bit of Kpop. Some of my overall favorite artists are Trey Songz,Jhene Aiko,The Weekend, Cash Cash, San Holo, Roy Woods, Jeremih,Tory Lanez,Galantis,Kehlani,and Tinashe. Aside from Key Club, I keep myself involved in school as a Link Crew Leader, and by taking part of Homecoming and class spirit events in general(woo-hoo 2018!). In general, I am optimistic about a lot of things and I am a strong believer that life is one big rollercoaster so despite the roadblocks you may face, it is going to be alright and there is always something to look forward to + learn from.
