The start of every school year is a clean slate-a fresh start. Similar to the beginning of a new year in January, students and teachers have the opportunity to develop new habits and strategies to be more effective for the upcoming semester. Unfortunately, just like New Year’s resolutions, the
IDEAS ROOM HOURS:
staying power of these habits is weak. In an effort to start and sustain effective habits, the IDEAS Room staff has selected the theme of “Be Effective” to help guide the students and faculty of the College of Education
Monday- Thursday 7AM- 8PM Friday 7AM-4PM
through their most effective school year yet. This theme was inspired by Stephen Covey’s widely popular book, The 7 Habits for Highly Effective People. Throughout the year we will be sharing apps, websites, books, and other resources that will help you be more effective. Our first Gaga session

of the school year will be Gaga for Productivity apps. During these sessions we will highlight a variety of apps that can help you organize your notes from classes, meetings, and even your grocery lists in an effort to help you be more productive. We hope to see you at one of these sessions in September. Have a great, productive school year!

Did you know: There is NO longer a computer lab in the Roskens Hall basement! An additional 4 computers have been added to the IDEAS Room. IDEAS Room has a new student worker: Welcome, Anna!
