A Women’s Professional Golf Tour in the Valley of the Sun

T O U R N A M E N T

THE CACTUS TOUR In 2005 the Cactus Tour was created for possessional woman golfers as a place to play outside of the LPGA and The Futures Tour. Over the last seven years it has evolved into not only a venue to improve your game, but as a place to prepare for events during the off time for all amateur and professional woman golfers. The tour now draws woman golfers from all major world tours to the first year professionals just starting out, as well as amateurs that want to test their skills against the best. These woman golfers come from all over the world and vary in age as well as skill levels. The value of the Cactus Tour is in having localized events for those just starting professional careers, coming off of injuries, not having status on major tours or just wanting to work on their game for upcoming events or qualifying schools without having the added expense of traveling all over the country. These events are highly competitive, run professionally, and held on quality courses in the Phoenix and Tucson Arizona areas as well as Las Vegas, Nevada. The events are cost effective and provide a payout to 50% of the field which is one of the best percentages in the country. A full schedule of 20 to 25 events are held beginning in February and run through November. The destinations of Phoenix, Tucson and Las Vegas allows for less travel expense for the players as they can stay in one location and play every event. Tournaments are 54 hole events with no cuts. El Zaribah Shriners 552 No. 44th Street Phoenix, AZ 85008 (602) 231-0300 Shriners International is a fraternity based on fun, fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth. With approximately 309,000 members in 195 temples (chapters) in the United States, Canada, Germany, Mexico, the Philippines, Puerto Rico and the Republic of Panama, our fraternity is open to men of integrity from all walks of life. Shriners International also supports Shriners Hospitals for Children®, a health system of 22 hospitals dedicated to providing pediatric medical care, word-class research and educational opportunities for medical professionals. This is all done regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. El Zaribah has been a mainstay of the Phoenix community since 1896 and presides over all Shriners residing in Arizona from Interstate 8 and North. During the early years of El Zaribah, most activities were held in the “Berryhill Building”, located near First Street and East Washington in Phoenix and was then moved to the site near 15th Avenue and Washington in 1921. The State of Arizona decided they would like to have our location incorporated in the Government Mall and that led our members to search for yet another site. Ground was broken for our current location on North 40th Street in October of 1988 and our first meeting was held in this building on December 13, 1989. El Zaribah has jurisdiction of all Shriners in Arizona from Interstate 8, including Yuma, North to the Arizona/Utah border. In 2011 El Zaribah was also given Joint Jurisdiction of the state of Sonora, Mexico. Today, El Zaribah has over 2,000 children patients from Arizona and Mexico on its rolls. many of these patients are transported to the Shriners Hospitals in Los Angeles, Sacramento and Salt Lake City at no cost to the patient or parent.
