Hello everyone and welcome along to the Domain for another afternoon of football. While it may feel like we’re nearing the end of the season, there are still a number of important games to be played by all our teams... not the least of which are today’s matches here in Matamata. We welcome Otumoetai and Tokoroa to the Domain, along with Claudelands Squatters who we’ll see after their match against our ressies up at the college. The state of the Domain means we have to go back to plan B in terms of our match day venues. This will hopefully leave us pissed off enough that we may actually all - collectively - be passionate enough to do something about it during the offseason. Let’s see, aye? There’s a lot we still have to do here at the Swifts, in many areas - facilities key among them. One thing that’s obvious, is that with our current capacity we’ll struggle to get everything done quickly. That’s where you come in. Like most clubs, we have a lot of takers. A lot. My hope is we can turn a few of you in to givers - of your time, effort or expertise. Is that too much to ask? We had a short club meeting prior to training on Thursday to help clear a few things up. Hopefully, given the attendance and attitude on display, the message may have got through. Time will tell, I guess, but I’d like to thank everyone who was there on Thursday for at least making the effort in coming out. Now the holidays are out of the way my junior teams are back in action. I’m involved with teams playing on Saturdays and Sundays so I’m not sure how often you’ll see me on the sidelines of a senior game (the refs will probably be pleased to hear that). I hope everyone enjoys today’s matches and I’ll leave you with a little question. You club needs you but how much do you need your club? Answer that, then act accordingly.

Junior Opportunity - Shirt Sponsorship Investment: $500 + GST. We have full sets of shirts, in the club’s new Nike style, on order now for ALL our junior 8th to 12th grade teams. We expect them to be available and in use by mid-June.
