Community Center Parking Guidelines for Your Safety The Community Center Parking Lot is for residents and their guests, visitors, and the participants of after school programs and events taking place at Arbor Greene (no overnight parking allowed without CDD approval). Please do not use the small lot behind the tennis courts for parking. This area is reserved for authorized Arbor Greene employees and vehicles, contractors, staging for our landscapers and deliveries. If you are dropping off or picking up your child as part of an after school program, or as they are walking to/from the middle school, please do so in the main Community Center parking lot. There are too many safety concerns with the space behind the courts regarding children and vehicle/driver safety due to the lack of space for parking and turning around as well as the equipment being used in this area. Also, do not park/drop off at stop signs and lights, at the gatehouse, on the side of the road, or at the entrance to the community. This has presented itself as a safety concern when children are forced to run in the streets and cars to stop abruptly to avoid an accident. Please feel free to reach out to the CDD Community Manager with any questions or concerns. Arbor Greene CDD

Hello Arbor Greene Neighbors, Last month’s Homeowner’s Association (HOA) article reminded residents of covenant and local government rules regarding trash and recycling collection, as well as using the HOA website as a reference for information about, and contacting the HOA. The article also highlighted the HOA Board’s review of our management company’s operations in light of residents’ complaints. This month, we congratulate the latest Yard of the Quarter winners, as well as informing residents of recent management changes. The HOA Board of Directors would like to congratulate the 2 nd Yard of the Quarter winners of 2017, Michael and Linda Shepherd of the Preserve. Their beautifully landscaped and maintained property at 10210 Thicket Point Way was one of several homes nominated to receive this award. Along with a certificate, the Shepherds receive a $25 Home Depot gift card. Their home will soon be featured under the “Latest News and Updates” section of the Arbor Greene HOA website www.arborgreenehoa.com.

Neighborhood Watch Home and Vehicle Security Tips Hello Arbor Greene (AG) Neighbors. Our last article discussed school related tips since many students began school in August. This month, we will focus on home and vehicle security tips. In the last few months, the Tampa Police Department (TPD) and NHW disseminated information about an increase in vehicle and home burglaries in the North Tampa area, including New Tampa. The TPD has again urged residents to remain proactive in preventing crimes by following some basic security tips and contacting the TPD to report any suspicious activity. Below are a few tips to reduce the chances of you becoming a victim of these types of crime. One of the most effective criminal deterrents is using your front and rear home lights at night. Criminals typically avoid light whenever possible since most are afraid of being seen and reported. Since this is also true when parking away from your home, remember to park in well-lit public areas whenever possible. Lock doors and alarm your vehicle and home, and close garage doors when not in use. Most thieves quickly leave an area if an alarm siren is activated. Remove or secure valuables and garage door remotes in vehicles; remotes are stolen so thieves can return later to steal from a garage. If a remote is lost or stolen, the memory of the garage door opener can be reset to “zero, rendering a remote useless until it is reprogrammed. Consider also placing your home alarm sign in view of passers bye to deter thieves. Lastly, please remember to immediately call the TPD NonEmergency number (813-231-6130) if you believe you are witnessing, or have observed suspicious activity. If a crime is about to occur, or has been committed, immediately dial 9-1-1. Always call from a safe location and do not confront suspicious person(s). If you would like to receive more safety and security tips, please email us at ArborGreene-NWA@hotmail.com. Joining the group does not obligate you to any NHW activity. NHW is an allvolunteer run program overseen by the TPD.
