Hello Arbor Greene Neighbors, The Homeowner’s Association (HOA) would like to congratulate our 4th Quarter 2016 Yard-of-the-Quarter winners, Harry and Debbie Artz of the Enclave. Their beautifully landscaped and manicured property at 17922 Arbor Greene Drive was one of several homes submitted for consideration for the quarterly award. Along with a certificate, the Artz also received a $25 Home Depot gift card. Their beautiful home is featured under the “Latest News and Updates” section of the Arbor Greene HOA website www.arborgreenehoa.com. We again congratulate them and thank all of our residents who take time to properly maintain their properties and uphold the covenants that keep our community one of the best in Tampa. This month brings us the official start of Spring, and as the weather allows us to work more outside, many of us are going to tackle several home and landscaping jobs. We remind residents to submit required Design Review Board (DRB) applications well in advance of starting any exterior home or landscaping projects. Our Manager, Kristy Porter, and our HOA Board, will happily assist with any questions to help projects move smoother and avoid any administrative complications. This month is also a special month as the HOA and DRB are looking for additional motivated volunteers to join our team in helping to improve the beauty and consistency of our great community. Board election packets have been mailed to residents and we encourage your participation in running and voting. Our community is a wonderful place to live, especially due to volunteer efforts by those that care about our community, so please consider joining our team and voting for those who would like to become part of it. Thank you all for being a part of our great community! Paul Boucher Arbor Greene HOA Board President ARBOR GREENE GAZETTE

The BOD held its monthly meeting on February 9th. At this meeting we discussed the continued Piper fire alarm monitoring updates and repairs, as well as detailed discussion into the upcoming landscape modifications. The next scheduled board meeting will take place on March 9, 2017 at 6pm in the clubhouse. We welcome all to attend. The continued primary focus for the next several months will be to continue researching and identifying the best overall community landscape design and implementation schedule. In the meantime, if you have areas of concern regarding any of the gutter installation or downspout placements, please reach out to Alicia. Please remember that all pets should be on a leash. Be courteous and pick up after your pet. There are numerous litter bag stations and receptacles throughout the community and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation with this. Homeowner Tip: Its a good idea to have your dryer vents professionally cleaned at least once per year. Significant debris build-up is a major cause of home fires each year. Monthly Assessments: Please remember that as of Jan. 1, 2017, dues had a slight increase to $304.00 per month. If you did not receive a coupon book, or need additional explanation or assistance with this, please contact Alicia. Respectfully Submitted, Laurie Dykeman

Neighborhood Watch Working Together to Reduce Crimes of Convenience Hello Arbor Greene (AG) Neighbors. Last month’s article focused on our home alarm system that helps secure our family and property. This month’s article discusses “Crimes of Convenience” and how we can help decrease how often they occur. Many of us moved to our community for the added benefits that our gates and gate personnel offer, but they can’t prevent all crime. A Crime of Convenience occurs when we make it easier, or tempting, for people to commit crimes. We increase the chance of becoming a victim of a Crime of Convenience if we leave valuables unattended, vehicles or homes unlocked, garage doors open, and exterior lights off at night. Unfortunately, our gates may lull some of us into a false sense of security, making it easier for people to commit Crimes of Convenience. Our community gates may deter a large amount of crime, but it’s up to us together to try to prevent the rest. A Crime of Convenience is one of the quickest and easiest ways for thieves to steal our valuables. If we leave our vehicles or homes unlocked, or valuables unattended, we may create an opportunity for thieves to steal from us. Some basic security tips to help prevent this crime is for us to lock doors, windows, lanai doors, and fence gates; shut garage doors; turn on exterior lights at night; and turn on your alarm system. Don’t forget to inventory and photograph your property and securely store that data. Make sure to secure your home or vehicle while you are away, even if it’s for a short period of time. If you are a victim of a crime, immediately dial 9-1-1 or

Grass doesn’t need as much water in the cooler months of December, January and February. In fact, 1/2” to 3/4” of water every 10-14 days is enough. During the summer months of July, August and September, yards need only about 3/4” of water every 3 to 5 days. This region will usually get that from rainfall, so you can turn off your irrigation system for extended periods of time. Water your lawn and plants only when you know they need it or show signs of stress. Use a rain gauge or moisture sensor so you will know if rainfall has done the job. Install a drip or micro-spray system in your plant beds. They use water more efficiently than traditional spray heads. Install an automatic rain shutoff device to stop watering when it's rained enough. Stop overwatering! Overwatered grass has short roots that make it harder to survive pest attacks, disease and drought. Collect water in a rain barrel to use to water your plants. For more information regarding water conservation please visit www.watermatters.org or call 800-423-1476. 7
