Book Share

Pupils in Year 6 have created a set of ‘Fractured Fairy Stories with a Twist’, thanks to the help of some Year 7 pupils and a sprinkle of magic dust from Pre-Prep. The Lower School pupils guided Year 6 through the process of drafting and editing their writing before the stories were read to pupils in Years 1 and 2, creating a ‘whole School' approach to story sharing. The younger pupils absolutely loved hearing the ‘mixed up’ versions of well known fairy tales whilst the older pupils were gentle and caring in their approach to the activity, showing pride in the work they had created.

The Tree House

The new ELSA/Sensory room in the Junior School, which was kindly funded by the Parent’s and Friend's Association, has been renamed ‘The Tree House.’ It is a great space for pupils to work in a small group, one to one, or when they need a quiet space or downtime. It is primarily used by the School’s fully trained Emotional Literacy Support Assistants, who deliver support programmes to meet the emotional needs of the children in their care. In May it was also used by an occupational therapist as it is a great multi-purpose space that can be used to carry out full physical assessments.

Pre-Prep raises money for WWF

Our Pre-Prep came into School wearing some amazing fancy dress outfits in aid of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). With the £72.05 they raised, they are going to adopt an animal. The pupils looked amazing and we look forward to receiving updates about the adopted animals!
