Performance Platform

Year 4 treated an audience to a fantastic Music, Drama and Dance Performance Platform in May. Based on the theme ‘Decades’, the children performed nostalgic hits including Eye of the Tiger and Rock Around The Clock, and put on a hilarious performance of Horrible Histories. The Platform was completed by a routine to Soul Bossa Nova from Austin Powers.

The Case of the Missing iPad!

During Lent term, Year 4 were shocked to find a crime scene in their classroom. It turns out, Miss Lesley’s iPad had been taken by a sneaky culprit! The pupils became Scene of Crime Officers and detectives to solve a series of complex clues, including fingerprint analysis, fibre comparison, footprint measuring, and ink sample testing using chromatography.

The children made their final conclusions after watching the suspects’ video interviews which were conducted by local PCSO, Samuel White. All of the evidence pointed to one suspect… Mr Ward!

When questioned, Mr Ward owned up to his mistake and Miss Lesley’s iPad was returned to its rightful owner - it turns out Mr Ward had just borrowed the iPad to try out some new maths apps for Year 4! The ‘case’ concluded with a very interesting talk from PCSO White; the children learnt all about a PCSO’s role and asked some fantastic questions.
