One. The project will feature 10 contestants who will be chosen from auditions conducted in Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Ahmedabad. They will be asked to perform a series of tasks from walking the ramp to shooting ad promos, and be judged by a changing panel of three celebrity guests from the worlds of Bollywood and fashion. Shifa Maitra, VP, programming, UTV Stars, says, "Contestants will be tested on their ability to handle anything in Bollywood. They must do their research and know enough about the star judges so that they can surprise them."

ATYAMEV JAYATE is Aamir Khan's first television project and the star says that the reality show will create history by becoming the first ever program to go live simultaneously on a private channel and national broadcaster DD. The show is being dubbed in four southern languages Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The show launches in Australia, New Zealand first week of May. Aamir feels that TV is a very powerful medium and added: "I had to make complete use of this medium. This is a baby step towards it." "I cannot say I understand TV completely. I was earlier scared to go ahead with the project. I have made this show with complete honesty and without compromising on anything." The promo song of "Satyameva Jayate" is a love song. Composed by Ram Sampath and written by Prasoon Joshi, it is sung by Keerthi Sagathia. About the timing of the show, he says, "I am not scared of the saas or bahus. I believe you can make Australia the biggest market for Asian cinema. What is so good about Sydney that brings you back? First of all the 'yaarian' (friendship) that I share with Sukha Productions, Golu, Sippy, Thind, Paul and Sukha and many more friends and the fan following in Sydney. I get such a great welcome every time I visit Sydney. How do you deal with fame and popularity? I have built my image by the sound I gave to the industry. I have been very lucky. From the beginning I didn't have to struggle. A message for youngsters who want to get into the industry My message out to all the youngsters is to follow your own identity. Don't copy anyone. Be what you are and what you believe in. Any more projects or albums coming? Yes, few more videos are on the way for Maharaja. What is your favourite song? The song is a part of Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Rowdy Rathore and Sonakshi is all charged up to set the screen on fire with her oomphy gyrations in her first ever item song. Sonakshi Sinha prefers to call the track "a complete masaledaar song". The song is choreographed by Vishnu. From the sidelines, director and ace choreographer Prabhu Deva will also provide valuable inputs. Though Sonakshi has shown some jhatka-matka in her film Joker, her item song for Rowdy Rathod will be in a different league altogether. Sonakshi has not been asked to shed weight for the song, nor is she dieting. "Prabhu Deva and everyone else I'm working with like me the way I am," claims Sonakshi. She also confided that she has performed some of the action sequences herself in the film.

MADHURI SIGNS 'DEDH ISHQIYA' B

ollywood diva Madhuri Dixit has confirmed that she will play the lead in Vishal Bhardwaj's "Dedh Ishqiya". Directed by Abhishek Choubey, "Dedh Ishqiya" is a sequel to 2010 film "Ishqiya", which starred Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi. "Hey guys, back in action. Am doing 'Dedh Ishqiya' and 'Jhalak...' is right around the corner. More to come! Thanks for all ur patience and support!," she posted on her Twitter page. Shahid Kapoor has been finalized to play the younger brother. We're going ahead with Ali Zafar for the other hero's role." Interestingly there was a 10-year age-gap between screen brothers Madhavan and Arya in Vettai. Ali Zafar who will play Shahid's elder brother in the remake is hardly a year older than Shahid. Ali Zafar also played elder brother to Imran Khan in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

The LA-based adult star will commence shooting for Ragini MMS 2 this year after completing Pooja Bhatt's Jism2. While the original revolved around the video footage of a girl from Delhi, the sequel is also believed to be inspired by a real-life story. However, the scale of the sequel, which is bigger than the first, promises to be more scary and sexy. Confirms Tanuj Garg, CEO - Balaji Motion Pictures, "We're glad to have Sunny on board and look forward to working with her. The rest of the cast and script are being worked on and will be announced once finalized."

Although she had never planned to be model, she began to focus on losing weight and getting into shape. She gave up sweets and started going to the gym, eventually losing a large amount of weight. Khan was forced to abandon her education while in college and begin working due to the financial condition of her family. With no marketable skills to rely on, she tried her hand at modelling. ACHARI GOBHI Cauliflower cooked in mustard oil, fenugreek seeds and fennel. INGREDIENTS • Cauliflower 1 medium • Mustard oil 3 tablespoon • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon • Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon • Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) 1/4 teaspoon • Fennel seeds (saunf) 1/2 teaspoon • Onion seeds (kalonji) 1/4 teaspoon • Coriander seeds,crushed 1 teaspoon • Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon • Onion, chopped 1 medium • Ginger paste 1 teaspoon • Garlic paste 1 teaspoon • Green chilli, chopped 3 • Salt to taste • Yogurt 3\4 cup

the cauliflower and salt and sautÈ over medium heat till brown. Add the turmeric powder and one cup of water and cook, covered, for ten to fifteen minutes, or till cooked. Add the yogurt and continue to cook till the water evaporates and the gravy coats the cauliflower. Serve hot.

METHOD Heat oil in a large wok over medium heat. Fry all the vegetables (except carrot and leak) separately. Fry the carrot and leak with butter. Add onion, chillies and curry leaves; cook, stirring, until onion is soft, for about five minutes. Separately in a bowl, lightly beat eggs with salt and pepper. Add to wok, cook, stirring, until mixture resembles scrambled eggs, for about 1 minute. Add fried vegetables and Puttu. Cook, stirring, until well heated through, for about five minutes and garnish with lime.

hau Baburao Ganpat Rao Apte of Hera Pheri, Haribhai, a widower in Chachi 420, and Bhaiya Lambodar Chacha of Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge. Who is this? Yeah this is Paresh Rawal, born on 30th May, 1950 in Bombay. He is an alumnus of the well-known Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and made his debut in Holi-1984. During the 90s he appeared in more than dozen movies but his biggest hit was Hera Pheri-2000. His quirky Marathi accent and the typical mannerism made him an instant hit. It also gave recognition and adulation. In 1984 he won the National Film award for best supporting actor for his performance in Who Chokri & Sir. For the latter, he also received his first Filmfare award for best comedian. It was followed by Ketan Mehta's Sardar depicting Sardar VallabhBhai Patel - the great freedom fighter. This role got him not only national but international acclaim. He played comedy roles in Awara Pagla Deewana-2002, Garam Masala2003, Malamal Weekly-2006, Golmaal & Chup Chupke -2006, Bhool Bhulaiya, Welcome and De Dana Dan all 2009. I shall be failing if I do not mention his very successful acting career in his native Gujarati plays. The latest hit is "Dear Father" - A masterpiece. Married to Swaroop Sampat - Miss India 1979 - the couple has two sons Aditya and Anirudha. Paresh believes in consistency. He has built the innings like the old fashioned brewed Coffee rather than a machine made instant cup. In private life, he is very modest, humble, down to earth. He is the epitome of simplicity. His is a sports and fun loving family fond of Punjabi preparations. Paresh says, "Frustration never defeats me. I take it very easy and just chill. I give my heart and soul to my profession." "I try and exercise as often as I can, but when I'm travelling or shooting, I tend to skip it for days on end." One of the toughest things for Deepika was the effort to break her sweet tooth. "All my teeth are sweet. It's my weakness. When I was younger, it was only chocolates; I wouldn't touch any Indian sweets. But now I crave anything sweet, but I try and be good. I treat myself once in a while," she says. As for her diet, Yasmin encourages eating small meals every two hours that contain a combination of carbs and proteins. "We recently discovered Quinoa, a carbohydrate substitute high in fibre, which has worked wonders for Deepika," she says.
