fter the finale of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs, Zee TV is coming up with yet another show Star Ya Rockstar which will have some of the renowned celebrities showcasing their singing talents. Going by the pattern of the show, the channel has approached actors who have some experience in singing. Our source informs, "The show will have celebs who will display their singling abilities. Ragini Khanna and Neha Marda have been signed to be a part of the show. Furthermore, Manish Paul, Chavvi Mittal, and Anu Mallik are already a part of the show. A lot of names have been considered which include Manish Paul, S u c h i t r a Krishnamurthy, Varun Badola, Manasi Parekh and Chhavi Mittal. Chhavi Mittal

magine TV is in revamp mode. The channel will be unveiling a selection of new shows. The first will be Shashi and Sumit Mitta's 'Haar Jeet'. The story of the show will revolve around two cousin sisters and their dreams.

According to TellyOne, "The story starts with the focus on two brothers who are from two different financial background, i.e, the rich guy based in city and the poor in the village. Both the brothers have their own dreams which they try to impose on their respective daughters." The show stars Jannat Zubair Rahmani of 'Phulwa' fame playing the lead role of Isha. Gunjun Uprari, Meenal Patel, Akanksha Awasthi, Indresh Malik will also be seen on the show.

Madhuri says the decision was taken a while ago and was based on a belief that they could do more, on a professional level, back home. She, however, refused to specify a time-frame for her return. Asked what prompted the decision, Madhuri said: "We had been toying with the idea for quite some time. We now think maybe this is the right time. The kids need to discover their roots. India is growing into a formidable power. It's become the new land of opportunities." "Both my husband and I felt there's so much we can do back home. Whether it's in our profession or on a humanitarian level, we feel there's a lot that we can contribute to our own lives and to society," Madhuri said in an interview. But after being in the industry for two-and-a-half years, the actress says that she enjoys the tag of being a sartorial icon. Says Sonam, “Iíve been in the industry for two-and-a-half years. When “Saawariya” and “Delhi 6” came, people only spoke about how Indian I looked. The memory of the audience is very short. They forgot about these two years, when all they spoke about was how Indian my looks were and how I was doing those ‘Smita Patil” kind of roles. But suddenly, with “Aishaî and ìI Hate Luv Storys”, they started identifying me with those characters. hah Rukh's Ra.One movie has been made keeping in mind the interest of kids and families. Directed by Anubhav Sharma, Ra.One is about a superhero who has an amazing capability to freeze electricity. Shah Rukh Khan is a software engineer named Shekhar who is based in Miami. He shows himself as a video-game superhero who fights off his self-created techno-monster Ra One. The story also flows towards a situation where Shah Rukh falls for Kareena Kapoor who plays mother of an eight-year-old and whom he starts imagining as one of the characters. Arjun Rampal whose character name is Ra.One, is the villain who gives challenges to Shahrukh Khan and Shah Rukh is known as G.One which stands for Good One. Shah Rukh says the film places great emphasis on human relationship, especially the one that a father and son share. "My film talks about the relationship between every father and son. So the film has a bit of my relationship with my son. Like he feels that I'm not cool enough and he feels that I don't have great abs and I'm not a stud enough. The child in this film also feels similar things," SRK said at an event to launch the music of the film. The 45-year-old also feels that "RA.One" will get sons closer to their fathers. "I think it's

L Essentially a love story at heart

odyguard' is a simple-n-sweet tale of love that's engaging and relatable. At the same time, there's an unexpected twist in the pre-climax which shocks you completely. At no point does the director swerve from the main plot to provide a few extra laughs or thrills. Besides, this is a script which gives actors a lot of room to emote. And both Salman and Kareena seize the opportunity with both hands. With 'Bodyguard', Salman returns to a genre he started out with love story. Sure, 'Bodyguard' is a remake of a Malayalam film [remade in various South Indian languages as well], which has all the trappings of a perfect masala film - action, music, comedy - but 'Bodyguard' is essentially a love story at heart. Salman's intro may give an impression that it's a hardcore masala film, especially the song and fight sequence [frankly, the first half of the film is routine, with not much happening in the plot].

Speedy Singhs has a plot you can connect with instantly, but the film merely scratches the surface, and doesn't delve deeper into issues plaguing people of Indian origin living in Canada. Given the poor screenplay, there's not much even an accomplished director would've achieved. Rajveer [Vinay Virmani] dreams of a professional hockey career. Unquestionably, he has the talent to be an accomplished player, but faces many hurdles. His goal is to succeed in a traditional white man's sport, but this conflicts with his father's wish that he devote his life to his religion and the family business. Unable to find a foothold in the game, Rajveer takes matters into his own hands by creating an all-Sikh hockey team [Speedy Singhs], finding a coach [Rob Lowe] and then bringing on his Uncle Sammy's [Gurpreet Ghuggi] trucking company as the team sponsor, doing all this behind his father's back.

Diet Routine I eat: Non-vegetarian food but I am not a fussy eater, I eat everything. My morning begins: Early, generally around 7:30 am. I begin my day with cold milk with some chocolate in it. If I have breakfast: It's generally omelette. For lunch I have: Dal, chawal, vegetables and chicken. When I go to a shoot I carry my lunch. A must-have for lunch is chicken; I need the proteins because I tend to lose weight very quickly. My favourite vegetable is: Baingan ka bharta. I like to sip: Water, a lot of it. In the evening I eat: A roll or a frankie or a sandwich. I like to eat a chicken tikka roll. I am a very healthy eater. Fitness regime: Aamir (Khan) has his own gym and I go there around five-six times a week for about two hours. Food Habits I am allergic to: Nothing but I hate dahi. I just never ate it so I guess I don't like it. Bhel Puri has: A childhood memory for me because my mom and I would always eat it together. When I am shooting I always carry: Lunch and dinner. I carry home food because set food is very oily. I also carry fruits. My favourite fruit is kharbooja. In my fridge you will always find: Milk. I can cook: Dal and chawal. I can also make a really good chilly con carne. My comfort food is: Dal-chawal. In food stuff I can't resist buying: The ingredients for what I am planning to cook. I am not an impulsive buyer. (Andhra Sweet Recipe) By Parvathamma Prep & Cooking: 1 hour INGREDIENTS: 1 cup maida (all-purpose flour) 4-5 tbsps ghee-enough water to knead the maida-salt to taste pinch of cardamom pwd

INGREDIENTS • Mawa (khoya) 1 1/2 cup • Chenna 1/4 cup • Soda bicarbonate 1/4 teaspoon • Refined flour (maida) 3 table-

and keep aside. Mix the two along with soda bicarbonate, refined flour, green cardamom powder and a little water to make a soft dough. Divide into sixteen equal portions and shape into balls. Prepare a sugar syrup with sugar and two cups of water. Clear the syrup by removing the scum, if any. Heat ghee/oil in a kadai. Add the balls and deep fry on low heat till golden in colour. Drain and soak in the sugar syrup for atleast fifteen to twenty minutes before serving.

FOR THE FILLING: • Totally 1cup: white roasted sesame seeds and roasted chana pwd ¾ cup and remaining ¼ cup of dry coconut finely grated. • 100 gms of Gagri pwd 1. Mix the maida with salt, 2-3 tbsps ghee, with pinch of salt and enough water to make dough, not too soft. Divide the dough and shape into small balls as shown in the picture. 2. Now, roll each ball with the rolling pin into a thin puri. 3. Spread a tablespoon of the filling on one half of the rolled out dough. Wet your finger and run it along the edges of the spread out dough with water and fold over to the opposite end, enclosing the stuffing to form a semi-circle shaped kajjikaya. Press the ends firmly so that the filling doesn't come out during the deep frying process and twist the edges around the kajjikaya as shown in the picture. 4. Heat enough oil in a wide vessel to deep fry the stuffed kajjikayalu. Drop 3-4 kajjikayalu into the oil slowly and deep fry them till golden brown, turning them carefully to the other side so that it cooks on all sides. Deep fry on medium heat. Share a recipe! 5.
