COMMUNITY TEMPLE MENORAH simchat torah Monday, October 8 - 7:00 pm A traditional oneg of apples and ice cream sandwiches will follow the service.

Leslie became a member of Temple Menorah in 2009 and is off to a fast start contributing to our community. For example, she recently Co-Chaired and produced, Leslie Friedberg along with Megan Cotugno, the Charlotte Diamond Concert which brought hundreds of people beyond Temple Menorah community and was a key fundraiser for the Tuvia Playground project. Leslie has enjoyed taking adult education classes at Temple, including Judaism 101 and 102 and plans to tackle Hebrew with Cantor Jessica. She enjoys spending time with her family — husband Russell, Hunter in 3rd grade and Hamilton in Kindergarten. Her hobbies include gardening, running and yoga. Before becoming a full time Mom, Leslie was a math teacher, specializing in AP Calculus. She fits in to our Temple equation perfectly! Faith Goldman has been a Temple and Sisterhood member since 1980. She served as Sisterhood Program VP, along with Bonnie Leopold from 19851988 and has also served as Sisterhood Corresponding Secretary and Sunshine Committee Chair. Faith received the Sisterhood Women of Merit Award in 2009. She has been Chair of the Sisterhood Bereavement Committee for over six years, facilitating approximately 30 funeral receptions. Faith Faith Goldman serves on the Bikkur Cholim Committee and recently accepted a position as a Trustee on the Temple Board. Faith produced the show, Slow Boat from China; a journey finding Robert’s past, that was a successful Sisterhood fundraiser in 2005. She is very involved in the Rosenberg Cultural Center; as a participant, presenter and committee member. Faith also brings Shabbat light and joy to the Pacific Inn residents weekly and reaches out to Temple members who are unable to get out of the house. Faith treasures her daughter Naomi, her son Sam and his wife Melissa, and Harry who has been the love of her life for the past 17 years. Her hobbies include cooking—she baked and donated 2000 slices of mandle bread for Purim in 2008. In short, Faith is one of Temple Menorah’s key ingredients!
