Client: Aero Engine Controls Value: £62,400 Location: Birmingham Fit out of the 1st floor open floor space for Aero Engine Controls, part of the Rolls Royce Group. The project is a pilot scheme for an alternative working environment for the Senior Leadership Team in preparation for the move to a new manufacturing base in 2015. The client’s designers required cost saving design input from Shaylor from the very start to remain on budget without reducing quality and the finished look.
Client: Arena Coventry Limited Value: ÂŁ1.8 million Location: Coventry Alterations and modifications to Ricoh Arena to form 41 new ensuited hotel bedrooms for De Vere hotels. Both sections of works were handed over on time with the 7 bed area delivered 2 weeks early. Work was completed without any disruption to the hotel or arena activities.
Client: Scottish Widows Unit Funds Limited Value: £1.24 million Location: Bristol The strip out and refurbishment of an existing 30,000 square foot office building including landlord’s common areas. All the works were carried out through phased handovers with existing tenants in occupation throughout.
Client: Woodfellows Value: ÂŁ640,000 Location: Norwich Strip out and refurbishment of five floors of office space, converting from cellular to open plan format. The works included refurbishment of the reception, common areas and toilets.
Client: Mansion Capital Partners Epsilon Ltd Value: £4 million Location: Nottingham The redevelopment and extension of an existing 1970s concrete frame 4 storey office block to form 140 student accommodation studio dwellings, associated communal areas, common room, cleaner’s stores, bib stores, cycle stores, management suite and ancillary facilities, together with external works and drainage.
Client: British Transport Police Value: ÂŁ304,000 Location: Cardiff Fit out of Police headquarters, including formation of interview rooms, kitchens & breakout areas. Police headquarters remained operational throughout the project. Weekly meetings with the British Transport Police were held to avoid disruption to their activities.
Client: Shrewsbury School Value: ÂŁ573,700 Location: Shropshire Demolition of an existing single storey Victorian Boathouse, and construction of a new two storey building. The second storey that the school has gained is now used as a rowing training facility.
Client: London Borough of Hillingdon Value: ÂŁ267,300 Location: Middlesex Internal fit out works and structural alterations including M&E installation to the Winston Churchill Hall, which serves as a theatre, lecture hall and conference room.
