FRAMEWORKS

Building on our strategic plan Ministry of Justice We were delighted during 2012 to have been reappointed to the new Strategic Alliance Framework. Even more pleasing as our placing was the only SME appointment nationally. Our first two schemes will see us deliver projects at HMP Wandsworth and HMP Foston Hall. With project values from £500k to £10m, the Framework has a minimum duration of 6 years and is being delivered by our Build Division.

Cornwall Council In January we were appointed to the Cornwall Council Framework for contracts valued up to £1m. Following our appointment and the successful completion of a number of education and library projects over the summer, we have recently been mandated to deliver a further three projects in the region. The programme is being delivered by our South West office.

City of London A recent appointment to a 4 year Minor Works Framework with City of London for various new build and refurbishment programmes. We are currently awaiting project visibility and expect activity to commence in the first quarter of 2013. Works will be delivered through our Repair & Maintain Division.

02

Mapeley The recent framework success for Mapeley Estates is as preferred bidder for a single appointment status for projects covering the South Midlands, South West and Wales. Projects will be of an internal refurbishment nature associated with office churn and rationalisation across the Inland Revenue, HM Customs and Excise and Valuation Office Agency. The Framework has a 4 year duration and will be delivered by our Interiors Division.

Gracewell Gracewell Healthcare appointed Shaylor Group as one of just ten Preferred Contractors throughout the UK. With backing from Patron Capital, Gracewell Healthcare intends to develop 25 to 30 new build care homes over the next five years. Generally these projects will be private elderly care homes with nursing and will be built to the highest standard in prime locations around the UK.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital A very recent appointment to a 4 year Estates Building and Repair Works Framework with the Birmingham Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Western Power Distribution Shaylor Build was one of three contractors on a national roll-out programme and delivered up to three projects simultaneously carrying out schemes in Telford, Grantham, Lincoln, Hednesford and Nottingham. These projects involved the fast track conversion of existing industrial units into offices with new warehousing and extensive external works. ABOUT SHAYLOR

Setting the standards Investors in People With our people being central to our success, Shaylor was awarded the Investors in People Gold Standard during 2012. This is the highest achievement possible within the IiP framework and a fantastic result, as only 40 companies have achieved this standard in the West Midlands and barely 200 companies across the UK. Our assessor was particularly complimentary of our “One Team approach and our core values which were evident in all parts of the business.

Systems With continuous improvement at the heart of the Shaylor operation we achieved OHSAS 18001 during 2012, an internationally recognised accreditation for our Safety Management System (SMS). Adding to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, this completes the trio of certifications to cover safety, environmental and quality systems.

ABOUT SHAYLOR

Our people and the community Our chosen charity is The Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Our goal is to raise £10,000 and we would ask everyone to join with us in supporting this worthy cause. Numerous events and activities have been organised throughout the year such as a cycle ride from Head Office in Aldridge to the Birmingham office using the canal network.
