Lieutenant Governor’s Greeting

Hello fellow Key Clubbers!! How do you feel? I hope you are enjoying summer so far because I am feeling so good about this summer! First, I would like to thank all the Kiwanians for this amazing trip to ICON! This is an experience I will never forget. I met people from the states and all over the world. Taiwan, Philippine, Australia and still counting! I learned how to be a stronger public speaker, along amazing graphics skills, the important things we do as KEY Club and how our actions affect the world. Key Clubbers are the kindest, most inspirational ever. I miss them already! Don’t worry if you didn’t get to attend this year, next year ICON is going to be held at Atlanta, Georgia! Yours in service, Ruoxin Lin Lieutenant Governor New York District Key Club Division 9 Ruoxinlin.ltg@nydkc.org

Brooklyn Technical High School Induction Ceremony

Â

Brooklyn Technical High School Induction Ceremony Brooklyn Tech’s induction was full of glamour and it was just simply, amazing. There were rounds of musical chairs, where the winner takes home a box of Oreos and there were two rounds of a word unscrambling game. The venue was in Chinatown and it was a pretty nice place. The food was satisfying, however it was a bit crowded. There was fried rice, lobster, spare ribs and corn soup. After everyone ate, the old board retired and the new executive board stepped up to the base. It was such a sad experience to see everyone who made my first year in Key Club fabulous. I guess it was a bittersweet event! Out with the old, in with the new! Though, it was loud in the restaurant because of the other patrons in the same room, everyone has tons of unforgettable fun at Jing Star Restaurant!

Autism Prom “The autism prom is a night to remember. It gave me the opportunity to have fun while contributing to a positive cause. I really enjoyed meeting new people and getting to know them a bit.”
