All levels of yoga experience are welcome. Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the body and the fascia that covers the body. Because of this deeper focus, the postures are more passive, mainly on the floor, and it is not uncommon to see postures held for three to five minutes. Your focus will be to relax into the posture and soften the muscle. This is a very relaxing yoga practice. Bring a yoga mat, a strap and a thick blanket, bolster or pillow. Golf Pierce County in Western Washington is your home for public golf. Our golf courses offer a variety of settings for every taste and style. From tree-lined courses to open green spaces and smooth rolling greens overlooking the Puget Sound, our golf courses are the most diverse in Washington. Whether seeking a quick round in the peaceful setting at our 9-hole course at Fort Steilacoom or wanting to tackle championship courses like Lake Spanaway, site of the Puget Sound Amateur since 1967 or Chambers Bay, site of the 2010 U.S. Amateur and 2015 U.S. Open Championships, Pierce County has something for every skill and challenge level.

Discover pure links golf while immersing yourself in panoramic views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. As the site of the 2010 U.S. Amateur and the 2015 U.S. Open, Chambers Bay was designed to challenge the greatest players in the world. Yet it’s a course that anyone can play.

Chambers Bay is a championship course that anyone can play. With towering sand dunes, massive fairways and contoured greens, it provides a true connection to the birthplace of the game. A par 72, walking-only course, Chambers Bay stretches from 5,100 to 7,585 yards on fescue turf from tee to green.

Inspired by the open landscape and spectacular location, renowned architect Robert Trent Jones II remained true to links tradition by creating a unique and authentic waterfront course which provides a premium public golf experience. As the first course in the Pacific Northwest to earn the Audubon Society’s coveted International Silver Signature Sanctuary designation, Chambers Bay is creating a new tradition of managing and protecting water quality and wildlife habitat for the betterment of the environment and the future of the game.

Experienced, knowledgeable caddies are available to carry your bag and lower your score with their advice. A practice facility offers players the chance to improve their skills at the driving range and short game area. A staff of PGA Professionals is available for instruction and private lessons.
