Bienvenidos y bienvenidas a una nueva edición de Olivia Hotels Magazine. Este año nos hemos propuesto elevar el nivel de exigencia para seguir reforzando el compromiso de calidad para con nuestros clientes. Hemos culminado después de cuatro inviernos de muchos esfuerzos la reforma integral del Riu Palace Bonanza Playa de Mallorca, apostando por las últimas tecnologías en eficiencia energética, y por consiguiente el respeto por el medio ambiente. Otro punto a destacar es la gran aceptación y buena voluntad de nuestro personal, que ha asistido a numerosos cursos de formación que la empresa ha programado. Cosa que quiero agradecerles a todos por el esfuerzo que han realizado y que reforzará aún más la motivación, promoción profesional y que sin duda alguna repercutirá en un buen trabajo que nuestros clientes sabrán valorar con excelente en las diferentes encuestas de los portales online, y así convirtiendo nuestros hoteles en un referente de calidad y excelencia. Welcome to the latest issue of the Olivia Hotels Magazine. This year, we have aimed to be even more demanding in order to continue strengthening our commitment to quality for our clients. After four winters of much hard work, we have finished a full remodel on the Riu Palace Bonanza Playa de Mallorca, featuring the latest technology in energy efficiency and therefore respect for the environment. Another area we would like to highlight is the hard work and diligence of all of our staff, who have attended numerous training courses offered by the company. We would like to thank them all for this, for the efforts they’ve made and which will further strengthen motivation, promotion within the company and will surely have an impact on the proper working of our hotels, which our guests will rate as excellent on the surveys on our website, thus making our hotels a benchmark in quality and excellence. Willkommen zu dieser neuen Ausgabe des Olivia Hotels Magazins. Dieses Jahr

haben wir uns vorgenommen, die Erwartungen, die wir an uns selbst stellen, weiter anzuheben, so dass wir auch in Zukunft unser Engagement für Qualität gegenüber unseren Gästen verstärken können. Nach vier anstrengenden Wintern ist es nun soweit: die umfassenden Renovierungsarbeiten des Riu Palace Bonanza Playa in Mallorca sind beendet. Hier haben wir auf hochmoderne Technologie im Bereich Energieeffizienz gesetzt und damit auch auf Umweltschutz. Ein weiterer wichtiger Punkt ist die positive Aufnahme und die Bereitschaft unseres Personals zur Teilnahme an den zahlreichen Fortbildungskursen, die unser Unternehmen organisiert hat. Dafür möchte ich allen danken. Denn durch ihre Bemühungen wird die Motivation und der berufliche Aufstieg weiter gefördert und dies wird sich mit Sicherheit auch positiv auf die Arbeit auswirken, die unsere Kunden in verschiedenen Online-Befragungen mit ausgezeichnet beurteilt haben, was unsere Hotels zu einem Referenzpunkt für Qualität und Exzellenz werden lässt. What goals has the Olivia Hotels group set for 2016? Our top priority is the satisfaction of our guests and to make sure they keep coming back. So we started out this year with the same enthusiasm we’ve always had. True to our strategy, we continue updating and modernizing our hotels, adapting them to different settings: urban, beach and wine tourism, both in their decoration and their facilities.

¿Cuáles serían las mejoras más destacadas de las que ya se pueden disfrutar? Sin duda la renovación del Riu Palace Bonanza Playa, en el que hemos culminado este año su reforma integral, apostando por la eficiencia energética y el respeto por el entorno. También hemos incidido especialmente en la mejora de la oferta gastronómica, perfeccionando nuestra propuesta y ofreciendo al cliente un servicio más variado en calidad y gusto acorde con sus expectativas. También me gustaría destacar nuestro compromiso con la formación, y mejora de nuestro personal, que sin duda se notará en el servicio.

What are the most noteworthy improvements guests can enjoy? Without a doubt the renovation at the Riu Palace Bonanza Playa, where we have completed a full remodel based on energy efficiency strategies and respect for the environment. We’ve also worked to improve our culinary offering, perfecting our proposal and offering guests a more varied service in quality and taste, in line with their expectations. I would also like to highlight our commitment to training, and staff improvement, which will undoubtedly be noticed in the service.

Welche Ziele hat sich die Olivia Hotels Gruppe für 2016 gesetzt?

Unser Hauptanliegen ist die Zufriedenheit unserer Kunden und damit verbunden die Verbesserung der Kundentreue. Wir gehen dieses Jahr mit der gleichen Begeisterung an, die uns dorthin gebracht hat, wo wir jetzt sind. Dabei bleiben wir unserer Strategie treu, unsere Hotels ständig zu erneuern und zu modernisieren. Ob sie nun in der Stadt, am Strand oder in einem Weinanbaugebiet liegen, hier sollen sowohl Einrichtung als auch die verschiedenen Installatio-

nen zu der Umgebung passen. Welche der durchgeführten Neuerungen sind dabei besonders erwähnenswert? Auf jeden Fall die Renovierung des Riu Palace Bonanza Playa, hier konnten wir dieses Jahr die umfassenden Umbauarbeiten fertig stellen. Besonders großen Wert wurde dabei auf Energieeffizienz und Umweltschutzaspekte gelegt. Auch auf die Verbesserung des kulinarischen Angebotes haben wir uns konzentriert und haben so unser Angebot wesentlich erweitert, wir bieten unseren Gästen ein breiteres Serviceangebot, qualitativ hochwertig und schmackhaft, und passen uns damit ihren Erwartungen an.

La cultura popular ayuda a definir su personalidad: los castellers; los gigantes y los cabezudos; las bestias de fuego y los correfocs; los bailes como la sardana, etc... ¿Cómo surgió la idea de instalar nuevos servicios de gimnasio y terraza chill out? Recibimos comentarios de clientes que echaban de menos un gimnasio. A los pocos meses empezamos a diseñar la composición del actual formato de terraza para que pudieran relajarse, contemplar Barcelona o hacer un poco de ejercicio en el gimnasio. Ha sido un éxito. ¿Seguís manteniéndoos en lo alto de los principales portales online. Cuál es la clave? Conocemos bien los gustos y necesidades de nuestros clientes. Un mantenimiento de las políticas inversoras, junto con prácticas de ahorro y eficiencia consolidadas en los últimos años han permitido a las empresas españolas optimizar los recursos disponibles para viajar, siendo ésta una contribución muy significativa en el mantenimiento de cuotas exportadoras. Así, el 2016 debería seguir la tónica marcada en los últimos ejercicios, en los que, tanto en términos de evolución de la inversión en viajes como en volumen exportador, los resultados acumulados para España han estado por encima o en línea con los obtenidos por nuestros principales socios de la zona euro (nuestra tasa es superior a las de Italia (4,2%) y Reino Unido (-0,8%), similar a la de Francia (4,5%) y únicamente inferior a la de Alemania (7,1%). Si a esta dinámica, las empresas son capaces de sumar ahora criterios de productividad, con el objeto de maximizar el retorno de las inversiones, los resultados sólo podrían mejorar. La mayor eficiencia en la inversión de los recursos destinados a los viajes de negocio no depende únicamente de los niveles de ahorro que se consigan. El tiempo destinado a viajes y desplazamientos es un factor directo de coste oculto de primera magnitud, que debe incorporarse a los patrones de cálculo y a las políticas de viajes, con el objeto de reducir el tiempo perdido y la pérdida de productividad. Las empresas españolas se encuentran en un contexto favorable. Por ello, el objetivo a perseguir debería ser el aprovechamiento del ciclo positivo, con la finalidad de asentar las políticas de crecimiento y de diversificación asociadas a la internacionalización, por la vía de las buenas prácticas, también en lo que a viajes de negocio concierne.

What is your hotel philosophy? To make the hotel a home for our guests. We don’t want to lose the warmth and openness of a family holiday setting.
