Olivia Hotels Financial Director En Olivia Hotels estamos incorporando nuevos puestos de trabajo como es la llegada de Aleix Carbonell como Sales & Profit Manager con una experiencia profesional ocupando diversos puestos directivos y de responsabilidad. En nuestro sector es importante la inversión tecnológica es uno de los pilares fuertes, para ello hemos introducido un nuevo PMS que es Navision como prueba piloto en los hoteles de Mallorca para mantener la competitividad en el sector. En Olivia Hotels hemos obtenido el Chinese Preferred Hotel para ello ofrecemos a nuestros clientes chinos que puedan reservar a través de Ctrip, hemos incorporado desayunos, directorios en chino, sistema de pago Alipay y personal propio chino en cada hotel para cubrir al 100% las necesidades de nuestros clientes chinos. Este año hemos empezado a formar parte de la Fundació Guné con la campaña “habitación con causa” cediendo un% de los ingresos con 2 habitaciones en Plaza y 2 habitaciones en Balmes. Apostamos por la promoción interna por eso este año Marco A. Martínez ha pasado de jefe de recepción del Plaza a Director, Eli Vecina ha pasado de recepcionista a jefa de recepción., e Igor Rodríguez ha pasado de Director del Plaza a Director del Balmes. Este año el número de nuestra revista está dedicado al departamento de pisos con el objetivo de dar visibilidad a las gobernantas. Las gobernantas son importantes para mantener el nivel de calidad en los que nos mantenemos y para ello este año queremos agradecerles su esfuerzo.

We believe in internal promotions, which is why this year Marco A. Martínez has been promoted from head of reception at Plaza to director; Eli Vecina, from receptionist to head of reception; and Igor Rodríguez, from director of the Plaza to director of Balmes Hotel. This year, our magazine is dedicated to the Housekeeping Department, in order to raise awareness of the housekeepers. The housekeepers are important for maintaining our quality and, this year, we want to thank them for all their hard work.

In unserem Sektor ist die Investition in Technologie sehr wichtig, daher haben wir in den Hotels auf Mallorca als Pilotprojekt ein neues PMS (Navision) eingeführt, um auf dem Markt wettbewerbsfähig zu bleiben. Bei Olivia Hotels haben wir die Auszeichnung Chinese Preferred Hotel erhalten, aus diesem Grund bieten wir unseren chinesischen Gästen die Möglichkeit, über Ctrip zu buchen. Wir haben chinesisches Frühstück, Verzeichnisse auf chinesisch, das Zahlungssystem Alipay und eigenes chinesisches Personal in jedes Hotel aufgenommen, um die Bedürfnisse unserer chinesischen Gäste vollauf zu befriedigen. Seit diesem Jahr sind wir Teil der Fundació Guné und der Kampagne „habitación con causa“, bei der wir einen Prozentsatz des Erlöses von 2 Zimmern im Plaza und 2 Zimmern im Balmes spenden. Wir setzen auf die interne Beförderung, daher ist Marco A. Martinez seit diesem Jahr vom Rezeptionschef zum Hoteldirektor im Hotel Olivia Plaza, Eli Vecina von Rezeptionistin zur Rezeptionschefin und Igor Rodriguez vom Direktor des Plaza zum Direktor des Hotel Balmes ernannt worden. Dieses Jahr ist die Nummer unserer Zeitschrift der Abteilung der Zimmermädchen gewidmet, um ihnen mehr Sichtbarkeit zu verleihen. Die Zimmermädchen sind sehr wichtig, um das Qualitätsniveau zu halten, daher möchten wir ihnen dieses Jahr für ihr Bemühen danken.

El Museo del Fútbol Club Barcelona es el museo más visitado de Cataluña durante esta última década con una media anual de visitantes superior a 1.200.000 de visitas. Se encuentra situado en las instalaciones del Camp Nou, y fue inaugurado el 24 de septiembre de 1984 por José Luis Núñez, del cual desde el año 2000 heredó el nombre. Ocupa una superficie de 3.500 metros cuadrados donde además de los trofeos conseguidos por la entidad azulgrana, y todo tipo de objetos de culto relacionados con los jugadores que han pasado por la entidad en sus diversas secciones, se ofrecen audiovisuales en diversos idiomas que explican detalladamente la dilatada historia del club. En 2010 el museo realizó cambios muy destacados, adaptándose al siglo XXI con un gran número de secciones audiovisuales, en el llamado “Camp Nou Experience”. Located within the club’s grounds, Camp Nou, it was opened on 24th September 1984 by the then president, Josep Lluís Núñez, whose name was given to the museum in 2000. The museum stretches over 3,500 m2, and as well as displaying all the trophies the club has won over its history, and all kinds of objects belonging to the players past and present of all the sports the club takes part in, the visitor can enjoy audio-visuals and multimedia in different languages that offer an in-depth account of the club’s long history. In 2010, the museum was given a complete facelift, bringing it into the 21st century, including the addition of numerous audiovisual and multimedia areas entitled, “the Camp Nou Experience”. The entrance ticket includes a guided tour which allows the visitor to see parts of the stadium that are usually off limits to the public. These include the presidential box, from which you can experience the spectacular view of the stadium from the president’s seat, the players’ changing rooms, the press room, and even step on the Camp Nou pitch.

En Bonanza Playa damos mucha importancia a los detalles, y para ello contamos con uno de los mejores equipos y calidad humana con los que haya trabajado anteriormente. Desde la bienvenida, el servicio en el restaurante, la limpieza de las habitaciones y la calidad de nuestra comida, trabajamos para que todo sea de 10. No permitimos menos que eso.

También hemos cambiado la fachada del hotel hemos incluido cristaleras en todas las habitaciones para mejorar la calidad de las vistas desde ellas.

¿Cuál es vuestra filosofía hotelera? Convertir el hotel en un hogar para nuestros huéspedes mientras dure su estancia. No queremos perder la proximidad y calidez de un ambiente vacacional y familiar. El objetivo diario es que el personal del hotel sea próximo a los clientes y complacerles en todos sus deseos para que se sientan como en su casa y conseguir fidelizarlos para que el próximo año, durante sus vacaciones, nos vuelvan a elegir.

Unsere Gäste fragten nach, draußen direkt am Meer frühstücken und zu Abend essen zu können, daher haben wir die Terrasse vergrößert, sodass auch das ganze Restaurant viel grösser ist und wir einen gemütlichen, warmen Ort anbieten können, an dem die Gäste eine rundum perfekte Erfahrung machen können. Wir haben auch die Hotelfassade geändert und in allen Zimmern neue Fenster einbauen lassen, sodass man von diesen nun eine viel schönere Aussicht hat. Worin besteht Ihre Hotelphilosophie? Aus dem Hotel einen Ort zu machen, an dem sich die Gäste ganz wie zu Hause fühlen. Wir möchten die Nähe und Wärme eines Urlaubs- und Familienhotels nicht verlieren. Unser alltägliches Ziel ist es, dass das Hotelpersonen einen persönlichen Umgang mit den Gästen pflegt und all ihre Wünsche erfüllt, damit sie sich wie zu Hause fühlen und uns auch im nächsten Jahr wieder für ihren Urlaub wählen.

¿Qué funciones consideras más importantes para una gobernanta?

Lo más importante como cualidad es la organización, el equipo debe estar bien orientado a satisfacer todas las necesidades. Además de la supervisión y revisión de habitaciones que supone un gran tiempo de nuestra jornada. Damos importancia en cuidar al equipo ya que es un trabajo duro y siempre que podemos hacemos formaciones que les puedan ayudar. Este año por ejemplo participamos en un taller de “mindfulness” y de gestión postural que nos ayudará mucho en el día a día.

Which functions do you consider are more important for a Housekeeper?

The most important quality is organisation, the team has to be focused on meeting all the guests’ needs. Plus, supervising and checking rooms, which takes up a lot of our time. For us, it is important to watch out for the team, because it is a hard job and whenever we can we like to offer training sessions that can help them. This year, for example, we did a mindfulness and posture workshop that will help us a lot in our day-to-day work.

Welche Funktionen halten Sie für eine Gouvernante für am wichtigsten? Am wichtigsten ist die Organisation, das Team muss sich dafür engagieren, alle Bedürfnisse zufriedenzustellen.

Neben der Kontrolle der Zimmer, die einen Großteil unserer Zeit in Anspruch nimmt. Wir kümmern uns um unser Team, denn es handelt sich um eine harte Arbeit und wann immer wir können, machen wir Weiterbildungen, die uns helfen können. Dieses Jahr machen wir zum Beispiel bei einem Workshop über Körperhaltung und „Mindfulness“ mit, der uns im Alltag sehr hilfreich sein wird.

¿Qué tendencias veis en el sector? El tema de la ecología viene pisando fuerte en todos los sectores y el nuestro, no es menos. Casi todos nuestros vinos son ecológicos y el vino base cava que usamos para elaborar el cava, también es ecológico desde hace unos años. La idea es que en pocos años toda nuestra cartera sea ecológica.

What trends can you see for the sector? The topic of the environment is gaining a lot of ground in all sectors and that’s definitely the case for ours. Almost all of our wines are ecological and the wine we use as a base for our cava has been ecological for years. The idea is to make our entire portfolio ecological in a few years.

¿Qué novedades tenéis de cara al 2019? Una novedad es que hemos decidido darle una nueva imagen a nuestra gama de vinos premium.. A nuestro vino elaborado con uva chardonnay, le hemos dado el nombre “Eliane”, un nombre de mujer, como los otros vinos blancos que tenemos (Alba, Gisele) y en este caso, hebreo. Como curiosidad, hemos averiguado que fueron los cruzados de Palestinos los que llevaron por primera vez este tipo de uva hasta las tierras de Francia donde al llegar, recibió el nombre de “Puerta de Dios”, en hebreo “Sha´har-adonay”. Y hemos querido que el nombre tenga la misma procedencia que la de su uva.

What do you have in store for 2019? One piece of news is that we have decided to create a new image for our premium range of wines. We’ve given the name “Eliane” to our wines made with the Chardonnay grape, which is a woman’s name, like the other white wines we have (Alba, Gisele) and in this case we’ve chosen a Hebrew one. One interesting thing we found out was that it was Palestinian crusaders who brought this variety of grape to France for the first time, which is where it got its name in Hebrew, “Sha´har-adonay”, meaning “God’s Door”. We wanted the name to come from the same place as the grape.

gen Jahren ökologisch. Unser Ziel ist es, dass in den kommenden Jahren all unsere Produkte ökologisch sind. Welche Neuigkeiten erwarten uns 2019? Eine Neuigkeit ist, dass wir unseren Premium-Weinen ein neues Image verliehen haben. Unser Chardonnay trägt nun den hebräischen Namen „Eliane“, ein weiblicher Name wie auch die unserer anderen Weißweine (Alba, Gisele). Wir haben herausgefunden, dass es die palästinischen Kreuzfahrer waren, die diese Traubenart zum ersten Mal nach Frankreich gebracht haben, wo sie den Namen „das Tor Gottes“ (auf hebräisch „Sha´har-adonay“) bekommen hat. Und wir wollten, dass der Name und die Traube dieses Weins denselben Ursprung haben.

Castellers de Vilafranca at Cava & Hotel Mastinell, a beautiful day with Catalan culture Los Castellers de Vilafranca visitaron las instalaciones del Cava & Hotel Mastinell por segunda vez en su historia. Una jornada donde visitantes, curiosos y clientes del hotel pudieron disfrutar en directo de la belleza de las torres humanas tradicionales de Cataluña en un entorno privilegiado, rodeados de nuestros viñedos en el corazón del Penedés. La dos horas que duró esta jornada castellera tan especial finalizaron con un catering en los los jardines que rodean el edificio que rodea la bodega.

A continuación, os queremos explicar el caso del Sr. Marco Martínez. En 2010, Marco se incorporó con 22 años como botones del Hotel Olivia Plaza, mientras realizaba los estudios de Turismo. Gracias a la formación interna y las grandes cualidades potenciales de Marco, poco a poco se fue consolidando como miembro de la plantilla de la recepción de Olivia Hotels y en el año 2012 promocionó a Recepcionista del Hotel. En el año 2016, Marco ya era uno de los recepcionistas con más experiencia de Olivia Hotels y seguía mostrando unas grandes cualidades en el desarrollo de sus funciones. Por ello, desde Olivia Hotels se le propuso la posibilidad de realizar un programa superior de formación de Dirección y Gestión hotelera de forma personalizada, con la intención de poder promocionarle a Jefe de Recepción, promoción interna que se hizo efectiva el año siguiente tras la favorable y continua evolución de Marco. Desde el año 2017 coincidiendo con la promoción de Marco, el hotel Olivia Plaza ha ido experimentando un gran incremento en la calidad que se ofrece a sus clientes. El año 2018, El Hotel Olivia Plaza, liderado por nuestro actual director del Hotel Olivia Balmes y por Marco, como jefe de recepción, ha conseguido ser el hotel nº1 en Cataluña en el ranquin de Review Pro. Debido a la magnífica gestión que Marco ha realizado como jefe de recepción en el 2017 y 2018, ha sido un gran orgullo para Olivia Hotels hacer un nuevo proceso de promoción interna y nombrarlo este 2019 como nuevo Director del hotel Olivia Plaza. Trayectoria como la de Marco, son un gran orgullo para cualquier empresa y con este pequeño artículo, aprovechamos la ocasión para agradecerle la gran labor realizada hasta la fecha, así como para desearle grandes logros en su nueva posición.

That’s why Olivia Hotels gave him the chance to study an advanced diploma in Hotel Management in a personalised way so that he could be promoted to Head of Reception, which is what happened the next year as Marco continued developing. Since 2017, at the same time as Marco was promoted, Hotel Olivia Plaza saw a huge growth in the quality that it offers to it guests. In 2018, Hotel Olivia Plaza, led by the current manager of Hotel Olivia Balmes and Marco as the Head of Reception, got the Nº 1 spot in the rankings for Catalonia on Review Pro. Diese interne Beförderung fand bereits ein Jahr später statt, nach der positiven und kontinuierlichen Entwicklung von Marco. Seit 2017, zusammen mit der Beförderung von Marco, hat das Hotel Olivia Plaza eine bedeutende Verbesserung der Qualität, die es seinen Gästen bietet, erfahren. 2018 hat das Hotel Olivia Plaza, unter der Leitung des aktuellen Direktors vom Hotel Olivia Balmes und Marco als Chef der Rezeption, den ersten Platz in Katalonien im Ranking von Review Pro erzielt. Dank der fantastischen Arbeit von Marco als Chef der Rezeption in den Jahren 2017und 2018 ist Olivia Hotels stolz auf eine weitere interne Beförderung und wird ihn in diesem Jahr 2019 als neuen Direktor des Hotels Olivia Plaza ernennen.
