publisher/Editor April Briscoe CONTRIBUTORS Leisa Anderson (Editorial) Emily Marquart (Editorial) Lauren Fraser (Editorial) Anne Blair (Sales & Editorial) Thank you to all contributing photographers and suppliers. A special thank you also to the brides and grooms for allowing us to feature their beautiful North Coast weddings.

from the editor Happy spring everyone! I just love this time of year when the warmer weather hits, flowers in bloom and everyone shaking off the cobwebs of winter. The North Coast Regional Botanic Gardens was in full bloom with the most amazing flowers and plants, the perfect backdrop as we shot our fashion shoot earlier this month, see page 40 for the most amazing photos.

ENQUIRIES & SUBMISSIONS 02 6651 1984 nthcoastwedding@optusnet.com.au

We are so exciting in putting this issue together, it always suprises me what talented and creative people we have on the Nor th Coast, they are such an inspiration. This issue we talk to Angie Guers the creator and designer of Forever Soles. We hear how Angie turned looking for the right shoes for her wedding into a successful business, it’s surprising how many people star t their businesses looking for something just right, or turning a hobbie into a serious venture.

DESIGN artgeko ncwdesign@optusnet.com.au

This weather also makes us start to think about a holiday and we discover our own backyard in Honeymoons on the Nor th Coast. We also look at social media at weddings, the do’s and don’t’s and what to look for when choosing a photographer.

PUBLISHER April Briscoe / artgeko 65 399 208 455 PO Box 2071 Coffs Harbour NSW 2450 02 6651 1984 nthcoastwedding@optusnet.com.au

Get inspired by our styling pages, packed with ideas to help you create your own ceremony and wedding perfection. All your favourites are here, fashion, beauty, cakes, flowers and jewellery and not forgetting the groom. This issue we take a closer look in our hair & beauty page at the current trends in hair for brides. So settle down with a cuppa, relax and enjoy a little of this sun and loose yourself for an hour or so in our pages. Until next issue, happy planning!

3 Reasons to attend a Bridal Show

1

Pick your perfect wedding theme

A bridal show typically features multiple vendors all under one roof. This means that each vendor will have a specially designed booth, with a unique wedding theme. With so many wedding theme ideas out there, you’re bound to find something you love… hopefully the perfect wedding theme for your big day!

2

Get inspired with all the details

Many bridal shows will inspire you with bridal gowns, hair and makeup trends, bridesmaid dresses, and groomsmen attire with a fashion show. You’ll also see wedding cakes; find wedding favours’, taste food for your reception menu, see table designs, centrepieces, and more.

3

Meet vendors in your area

Attend a bridal show in your area (or the location of your wedding) to meet real wedding vendors for your big day. Meeting a vendor in person is a great way to get acquainted and ask questions before the wedding. Plus, you can find out availability and book your vendor on the spot. This saves you time (and some vendors offer discounts for booking same-day!)

On your special day... Our focus is you! C.ex Coffs is the perfect choice to make your Wedding Reception everything you imagined, with venue options to seat 60 – 600 guests, from cocktail to banquets style receptions. We follow the lead up to a bride’s beautiful Bonville Golf Resort wedding…

I came into the wedding market bleary eyed and not knowing how much was involved or where to start. I began looking at wedding destinations and came across Bonville Golf resort, the beauty from the pictures was enough to spark my interest but it was not until I was standing there, among the Flooded Gums that I truly started to picture my big day. I knew right then and there that I was having my wedding moment and that this is where I had to be married. Stephanie, the Sales Manager had a wealth of knowledge surrounding the wedding industry and how to make my wedding at Bonville a day that I would never forget- after only being married there two years ago herself! She showed me the venues one by one and talked with ease and enthusiasm about how each venue could work and with every step I was hooked. The personal touches: The personalised touches made our day and set it apart from other weddings, Kate was there all day/ night to ensure my wedding day was exactly as I had envisioned it. There was a congratulations sign with our names on their scoreboard for a quirky photo opportunity. Personalised menus and guest seating plans are also provided by Bonville.

The Rainforest: From the moment I stepped out of the chauffeur driven golf cart near the top of aisle, I took in the beautiful surroundings of the rainforest trying to calm my nerves. My bridesmaids fussed over me making sure I was ok and ready; it was then that I saw my fiancé standing under the magnificent Tallowwood tree waiting to marry me.

Bonville is an incredible destination; it truly has everything. From getting ready onsite in one of the 30 accommodation rooms with my hair and makeup artist coming to us, to the fact that I knew I had Stephanie and Kate, our personal Functions Manager there, taking care of everything from the logistics to the guest relations. At Bonville Golf they believe it’s the personalised attention and friendly service from the day of the quote to the day of your wedding is what sets them apart. Bonville Golf Resort • 5 ceremony venues • 5 reception venues • Catering from the Flooded Gums Restaurant • Onsite photo opportunities with over 160 hectares of sub-tropical rainforest and natural bushland setting • 30 accommodation rooms Advertorial

The reception: Our reception was held in the Classic Room on the first floor of the Clubhouse. This room was large enough for our 130 guests but still felt intimate. The verandas either side of the Classic Room overlooking the golf course and resort gardens set it apart from other venues. The decorators and Kate worked hard to bring it all together, with the end result being an elegant and stunning setting.

For more information on having your wedding at NSW’s most awarded wedding venue, phone Stephanie our wedding manager on 6653 4002 or visit www.bonvillegolf.com.au

The farewell: Our guests formed a human archway for our departure on the Terrace Lawn under the stars. Kate had a golf cart awaiting our departure at the bottom of the stairs to take us to our bridal suite. 20

The little piece of paper that means so much For centuries, couples around the world have respected and celebrated their union with beautiful commemorative (often lithographic) Marriage Cer tificates which were lovingly framed and hung in the parlour and then passed on from generation to generation. The sanctity of marriage recorded in this precious commemorative memento showed a lifelong commitment to each other. Today, even though ‘paper’ is traditionally a first or second anniversary gift, it is more impor tant than ever to preserve the meaningfulness of your marriage in a commemorative certificate as par t of your wedding plans.

Long after you’ve eaten the preserved slice of wedding cake on the christening of your firstborn, even long after that child has flown the nest, the Commemorative Marriage Cer tificate serves as an enduring legacy for you and generations to come. Printed on archival quality paper and gently wrapped in acid-free tissue paper, you know it will endure. You can choose from six classic designs, one adorned with a simple pink rose, another with two gorgeous platinum rings, a third with two wedding bands resting on each other. For the true romantic, a design featuring

couples walking off into wedded bliss hand in hand or choose a ‘cutting the wedding cake’ wedding scene to make your memento come to life. For a slice of Australiana, there’s a design featuring a panoramic view of Sydney Harbour Bridge, capturing the Opera House and finished off with a waratah floral embellishment. Commemorative Cer tificates can be ordered online and the package includes your standard/official certificate also. Go to www.bdm.nsw.gov.au Advertorial

Haylie & Dan

the meeting We first met on a night out in Byron Bay through mutual friends and the attraction was instant. We both knew we had found something so special and feel so lucky to still have that feeling and each other – we are best friends and soul mates. the proposal It was our 3 year anniversary and Dan had organised a surprise romantic weekend away for us. The first day we went horse riding and the next day we walked to the top of Mt Warning for a picnic lunch (that Dan carted up there, complete with wine!) and once at the top Dan got down on one knee and proposed – it was such a special moment filled with so much love and happiness. She is totally always totally in sync with us and never ceases to amaze me! Carole: How long have you been involved in the fashion industry? Lynette: To be quite honest, it has been for long as I can remember .My vocation stems back many years as an impressionable teenager when I was eager to embrace life and pursue happiness. I was fascinated by colour and making fashion statements. This then transformed into areas of intense study, then as a practitioner always wanting to strive to impress. I am still forever captured and infatuated with the love of my working life....The Fashion Industry! Carole: Which types of shoots are your preferences to style? Lynette: I adore group shoots! I love the challenge of the different personalities and the expectations from the various designers, photographers and hair and make-up artists. I so enjoy blending theme

all into a united theme. I have carved a niche and own recognition in the industry of always being able to deliver..... Carole: Have you a favourite designer that you particularly admire? Lynette: Not one but many... Jean Paul Gautier....innovative, avant garde... industrial with his leather and corsetry wear. John Galliano....admire his greatness, what can I say? His embellishment is breathtaking, not to mention his great vision! Who would forget the 2009 Fall /Winter runway with the models wearing transparent garments.....what a huge WOW! Two other style icons come to mind... Chanel and Dior made such an impact on the industry! In 1947 the ‘New Look’ fascinated me with all the structured designs. Dior reintroduced shoulder pads and the corset to show off the feminine form. Carole: No outfit is complete without a beautiful headpiece; have you a milliner of choice? Lynette: I work with so many talented milliners and it would be fair to say that Melbourne is the hub for showcasing creative millinery in Australia. For example the millinery showcased with jewels from Le Dain Designs in these bridal shoot pages are from the talented milliner Jo-Anne Rolfe from ‘Vintage Designs’. Joanne and I both live in a fairytale world. She is captivated by romance and quirkiness which is certainly exhibited in her work. She is fast becoming an in demand milliner! Carole: You work with so many super creative photographers, tell us more about them please..

Lynette: The photographer’s job is to make us all look fabulous. After all the hours of cultivating, we are left entirely in their hands! There are so many talented photographers, but I will mention the three that are involved with these two shoots. I enjoy working with Eddie Teddie and Dan Ilicak. Both of these photographers have incredible vision! Both have very cool and calm dispositions and we all work well together creating our masterpieces. I also have the pleasure of working with world renowned photographer Maurice Renaldi during his regular visits to Australia. Maurice is such a personable and

charismatic character...Click Click and the master produces the perfect image in 20 seconds.....I love it! Carole: We hear you are involved in World Supermodel Australia, please fill us in? Lynette: I am a Victorian Ambassador for World Supermodel Australia. I am also their exclusive stylist for their models and events in Melbourne. Carole: Where do you get you inspiration from? Style, Colour and texture........I have developed a keen eye for detail through the many years in the beauty and fashion industry. It starts with a clear vision in my mind and I am able to see the ‘big picture’. Through sheer determination, perseverance and many hours of attention to detail I am able to bring it all to life! Carole: Do you favour any particular Jewellery designers? Lynette: I have no favourites but once again I will mention the designer involved in the shoots featured in this spread. Carole Beros who owns and designs for House of Le Dain Designs is someone who I have spent many hours with brainstorming and planning shoots together. Carole has an incredible vision to grasp concepts and produce what is required for the shoot. Her designs are unique and quite breathtaking. Carole: What exciting events are on the horizon for you? Lynette: I enjoy being part of the Spring Racing Carnival and totally enjoy working with many wonderful models and designers. With summer fast approaching, I have many shoots booked, featuring yachts, beach and lazy hazy themes. In 2015, I have been invited by renowned photographers for a celebrity shoot. Aaaah... finally I get to style a shoot at my dream location!!! ....The South of France! Can’t wait! Carole: Where do you see yourself in 10 years time? Lynette: Doing exactly what I am doing now, always aiming high! I am absolutely quite certain of one thing.....this passion will never die!! Thank you Lynette , looking forward to Le Dain Designs being part of your next sensational shoot!

the meeting It was a chance meeting at a nightclub in Riga, Latvia. Nick literally fell into Aoife’s arms. He was dancing on a pole, hit his head and fell onto her. Nick was living in Edinburgh and Aoife was living in Dublin at the time, so a “Ryanair Romance” ensued. In due course, Nick moved to Ireland to be closer to Aoife. the proposal In 2012 we spent 6 months travelling together in Central and South America. We snuck back into some ruins one night on the Inca Trail, called Wiñay Wayna, and Nick proposed under the moonlit sky, with snowy mountains in the background, next to a waterfall. It was the most romantic setting imaginable and Aoife was so surprised and delighted by the proposal that she was reduced to a blubbering mess. 10 reasons to get married in winter... from the

Aanuka Team During the cooler months of winter, weddings do tend to become less popular. But apart from a minor drop in temperature on the Coffs Coast there’s absolutely no reason to avoid a Winter Wedding.

1

Aanuka’s Winter Wedding Offer Book your wedding for 70+ adults during winter 2015 (May – August) and receive over $1,500.00 in savings, along with a gorgeous custom made Bolero and fantastic offers from our highly recommended suppliers – Special Occasions & Peter Sechi Photography.

2

Lunchtime Weddings Winter days are perfect for an early midmorning ceremony followed by an outdoor lunch reception! Enjoy a live band playing as you mingle

56

North Coast WEDDINGS

with your guests or go for a picnic theme wedding reception outdoors, colourful picnic rugs and pink lemonade – the perfect way to spend a warm winter day!

3

Rain, Rain go Away! A Brides biggest fear- rain on her wedding day. However, during winter, there is less chance of rain than there is during the popular wedding months. Generally on the Coffs Coast June – August brings the least rainfall.

4

The light is your best friend! Winter provides perfect lighting for photographs, with soft light and early sunsets, you’ll have beautiful shots, with no squinting or sunburn!

5

Keep your blooms beautiful! Flowers last longer in the colder weather which means your floral arrangements will survive the whole day.

6

Suit Up. Always imagined your fiancé in a well cut suit on your big day – he will certainly be more comfortable (and sweat-free) in the cooler months – don’t forget that old romantic gesture, offering his coast to keep you warm, so romantic!

7

Avoid makeup meltdowns! The high humidity in the summer months can often cause makeup to melt away before your very eyes. A cooler winter day will leave your face looking fresh and flawless for longer.

8

Volume & Frizz Free! Again the humidity can wreak havoc on your hair, during the winter months your luscious curls and volume will stay put all day long without the risk of the “Frizz Factor” come dinner time!

9

Two Summers in one year! Plan your honeymoon in a romantic summer northern hemisphere location and enjoy two summers in one year –tanning heaven!

10

Save the date – any date! Unlike the spring / Summer months when dates are booked 12 – 18 months in advance, winter months open up more choices. Not only will suppliers have more availability in their winter schedule, but so too will your guests. The Coffs coast has milder winters with beautiful blue skies and soft breezes. So benefit from the low season prices, choice of dates & suppliers and book your Wedding in Winter at Aanuka. Advertorial

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you would know that life now revolves around social media. Be it facebook, Instagram or twitter, every moment is shared with the world. Most likely you don’t care what your friend Luke from Kindergarten had for lunch as it doesn’t affect you. But when it comes to your own wedding day, couples usually have an opinion on their social media exposure and it’s important that they express this to their guests. As planners, we find that there are two trains of thought. Increasingly, couples feel strongly about wanting to limit all the social media exposure of their special day. Thus the rise of the ‘UNPLUGGED WEDDING’. If you don’t want photos posted on social media – tell your guests! A sign near the entry will suffice or if it is really important to you, ask your celebrant to announce it. Yet we are still finding that the majority of couples are indifferent. You’ve invited your closest family and friends to share in the most amazing day of your life thus far. You want them to revel in the excitement, and for most people that entails sharing on social media. But that doesn’t mean they are completely off the hook as a certain level of respect is expected. There is a new social media code that should always apply:

1. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS If the couple have expressed any wish regarding social media, follow their instructions. If you are unsure – don’t post! Some couples think the more photos the better and provide a hashtag for social

media. Use it – they want to see your happy snaps from behind the scenes.

2. STAY OUT OF THE PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS WAY A photographer is being paid to capture the special moments and the last thing they need is you in the background with your iPhone or heaven forbid, your iPad. And let’s face it, I’m sure they will get a better shot that you!

3. REFRAIN DURING THE CEREMONY There is nothing worse for a bride than being greeted by a sea of iPhones as she walks down the aisle. She wants to see your smiling face, not your camera! The ceremony is the most important part of a wedding, feel the love, enjoy it!

4. USE COMMON SENSE Posting unflattering photos will just make you unpopular and if you post them of the bride… watch out! If you are in the bridal party, don’t post before the ceremony. Don’t use your phone during dinner. Be polite and use basic common sense.

5. BE PRESENT You have been invited as a guest to a wedding and you are not the photographer. They want you to have fun, join in and not be stuck behind your phone.

Here we talk to Lauren, the writer of this article about her company Nor th Coast Luxury Weddings The wedding scene on the Coffs Coast is going from strength to strength, including being named in the most recent Bride Magazine as “the new Byron Bay”. Passionately leading the charge is Lauren Fraser. Her company Nor th Coast Luxury Weddings, has some swoon wor thy venues on their books and is highly sought after for couples seeking a wedding without the cookie cutter approach. Why did you start North Coast Luxury Weddings? Moving to the Coffs Coast seven years ago from the Nor thern Beaches in Sydney, I noticed a shift in the wedding market. Couples today are looking for a more personalised approach and distinctive venues to make their day unforgettable. After ten years in the event

management industry, it’s exciting to create a business that response to this need and is able to keep challenging myself professionally. Why is the Coffs Coast becoming popular as a wedding destination? The out-of-town couples and their guests who I work with are blown away by the area’s natural beauty which, of course, provides a beautiful backdrop for their photos. They are also surprised at the ease of access to the level of creativity and professionalism of the top people in our wedding industry. Being a regional area and only just appearing on the radar, it’s also substantially more affordable. The majority of our couples now come from all over Australia and overseas. Tell us a little about the properties you work with. We are lucky to have world class private proper ties on our doorstep that are available for wedding celebrations. If you’ve ever dreamed of tying the knot in an Italian villa, Villa Vivante is your Australian alternative. Perched 750 feet above the Pacific Ocean, the panoramic ocean views and chic European styling always have guest captivated. Our boho brides love

Marlowe House. Set on 12 acres of beachfront land, the eclectically decked out Queenslander boasts 4 metre verandas to take in the zen-like surroundings. Orara Valley Estate is for our couples who are lovers of the countryside. Set on 60 acres of secluded gardens, this ar tfully designed residence is inspired by the haciendas of New Mexico and the seaside villas of Tuscany. What do you love about being a part of people’s special day? I pinch myself, as I can’t believe this is actually my day job! A wedding day is filled with expectation, nerves, excitement, romance and a million details. I love being able to reduce the stress, help couples relax and simply be a guest at their own party. I am privileged to witness some of the secret moments that unfold… handing the groom a note from his bride, the father’s face when he first sees his daughter in her gorgeous gown and the overwhelming emotion as she waits to walk down the aisle. By far, my favourite moment is seeing the groom’s face when he first glimpses his bride as she walks down the aisle. Photos: Top: Laura Baker Opposite, middle &bottom: moorephotogrphy.com.au

truth in the saying ‘too much of a good thing’. If you would love to blow your guests away with enter tainment, eye-popping styling, opulent transpor t or an elaborate first dance, then consider toning down your day —and budget — in other areas. While you may have been imagining your wedding for what seems like forever, you don’t have to cram every idea into this one special day. Aim to engage and excite your guests, but don’t overwhelm or exhaust them. Consider the most essential elements of your wedding and pare back others. That way, you’ll retain the integrity of your theme — giving those extra special moments a real chance to shine. Danielle and Frank Pritchard enjoyed a fusion wedding, combining elements of Samoan and Australian culture. “I loved surprising Frank’s family when we did the Samoan Siva wedding dance,” says Danielle. “Samoan siva is a traditional dance performed by the bride, where all the men and women come and dance around her.” Cultural or fusion weddings are also a fantastic oppor tunity for Australian guests to get a real taste of another culture. “Every wedding showcases special touches the bride

and groom have incorporated into their day to add that personal touch,” says Melanie. “We always love seeing the Indian bride arrive with traditional Henna tattoos intricately applied during a pre-wedding Mehndi ceremony, a ladies only celebration of music and dancing. It is thought the deeper the colour of the Mehndi, the stronger the groom’s love.”

REMEMBER THAT THIS IS YOUR DAY While you may, at times, feel the weight of your families’ expectations, try to stay true to your own vision as a couple. Decide on the must-have traditions, and then star t planning your celebrations based around these essential elements. Organising your wedding is ultimately about two people coming together, and two families merging. During the planning process, it’s important to exercise understanding and compromise, and show a real commitment to respecting the traditions and beliefs of your partner. “Find a moment to be still with your husband and truly take in the depth and impor tance of what the day holds,” encourages Danielle. “Let go of how it looks and soak in the meaning.

Danielle su rprised Fra nk’s family wit h a traditio nal Samoan siva wedding dance

This is also the only moment you will ever get in your life to publicly honour everyone that is most impor tant to you both — words are powerful and actions go even fur ther. This was so impor tant to Frank and I — making sure our parents, family and friends also felt honoured and appreciated.” Photos: Jenni & Spencer and Danielle & Frank by Hannah McCawley from Lost in Wishful Thinking Photography. on family or friends for shots. How long the photos will take is an issue that needs to be decided early on.Your photographer will be able to advise you on how to structure your day around your photo shoots. An average shoot can take any where between 30 minutes and 3 hours depending on how long you are prepared to keep your guests waiting and how many locations you want to use. We suggest that you leave around 2 to 3 hours to allow time for running late and things going wrong. Impor tantly, have a really clear idea of what you want and if possible provide some images you like from magazines to help you explain the look and feel you want to go for. Find inspiration from sources other than weddings, and choose a style to match your personality. Finally, make sure you understand what costs are going to be involved – it’s often not just the cost of the photographs but also how many locations you use, time, travel and a flat rate that you’ll need to pay. Also be clear on when your images will be available and the process for selecting the ones you want. Good communication is the key to making sure that your wedding day goes smoothly because it means that everyone involved is clear on what you expect from them.

Happily, the age of technology means that you can hop on-line to find photographers from your local area and view their work from home to narrow down likely options before hitting the pavement. Try local photographers David Moore, Bye Bye Blackbird Photography, Sharyn Coffee Photography, Lost in Wishful Thinking, Lyss and her camera, melle wedding photography, Rebeccalynne Photography and Emma Rhoades Photography. The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) is a good place to star t for looking for a wedding photographer. Why use an Accredited Professional Photographer? The Accredited Professional Photographer logo is your assurance that the Accredited wedding photographer is endorsed by the Institute and has the relevant exper tise, qualifications and ability in the photographic industry. You want your wedding photography photos to immortalise your wedding day and last a lifetime, so you should give this privilege to a wedding photographer you can trust. AIPP has members across Australia. Find a list of accredited AIPP wedding photographers on their website at www.aipp.com.au. Photo: Dreamstime

the meeting Through friends at school. We both has jobs at shops close by and would go and visit each other during our lunch hours. The proposal A complete surprise even after 10 years together. Jeff organised for me to work back so I got back just as the sun was setting outside our place. Up until he brought out the ring, I was still thinking he was surprising me with chocolate strawberries. The theme Relaxed and intimate. Minimal styling so I had the beautiful location and house that could speak for itself. Photography by van middleton photography North Coast WEDDINGS

MEMORABLE MOMENT •

For me, the most memorable moment was stepping in to the Church and seeing Stephen waiting at the end of the aisle – it’s a

moment I’ll never forget.

the meeting We met 12 years ago at a Christmas party for the newsagency Stephen’s parents owned, which I was working at part time. Luckily his parents must have liked working with me as they didn’t object to us getting together, although we were friends for around 10 years before we officially started dating. The proposal After dinner at our favourite French restaurant, Stephen surprised me with a late night champagne picnic at Kangaroo Point Cliffs overlooking Brisbane city, where he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. The proposal was a complete surprise and he had picked out the most amazing engagement ring, I couldn’t have been happier. Photography by Paul Bamford from Finch and Oak North Coast WEDDINGS

hair trends You’ve picked the gown the next step is to decide on a hair style. The style of dress and theme of your wedding will help determine your look. We look at the hottest trends in hair for 2014-2015 brides.

Chignon It doesn’t have to be classic it can be reworked in a simple style with loose strands to give a more relaxed . Teamed with braids or a beautiful hair accessory can add glamour to this elegant classic.

Braids No longer just for Bo Ho brides, braids are finding their way into sleek up styles as well as soft and flowing manes, a side fishtail braid worn loose and tousled is a simple elegant option. If you prefer something more stylish and elegant why not opt for a braided up style, pinned low at the top of your neck., thus also lends itself to display a beautiful hair clip.

Straight and Sleek These styles is perfect for showing off a gorgeous gown. Sleek side or centre parts, pulled back into a low ponytail or bun. Short hair can be slicked back behind the ears. The important thing is not to have any fly aways.

Soft waves and curls Reminiscent of beach hair, tousled and natural, this style is perfect for decorating with flowers and braids. We asked local Port Macquarie stylist Lucy Licciardello and Alycia Mountain from Lovely Locks Hair and Beauty, what trends they are seeing in their salon. Port macquarie is a beautiful coastal wedding destination hence many brides love beachy hair. Hair must be set well either with curling tongs or rollers to ensure the wave will last all day and a good hairspray, a nice braid or flower crown is a lovely way to dress a soft beachy out do for your wedding day. For the classic bride a side bun is great for weddings as it can be seen in photographs, height is a must, when styling for wedding its important to see how the style will look in a photograph, the overall style needs to have balance and suit the face shape of the bride, a side bun suits every face shape and its still a popular favorite for many brides.

real bride’s tips

Take the time to appreciate what is happening as it goes so quickly, but that is why the photographer is the most important person at the wedding otherwise you won’t remember hardly anything! ella

Don’t be too nervous on the day, enjoy getting ready and being at the reception& ceremony because it goes amazingly quickly and truly is a very special day. Try and have photos taken with all your guests. emma

Take the time to appreciate what is happening as it goes so quickly, but that is why the photographer is the most important person at the wedding otherwise you won’t remember hardly anything! haylie

P lan as much of the day yourself if you can but on the day or even a week before get a coordinator after thinking about all the things they did for us, I would have been a wreck if I had attempted it all.

Like everyone says, just relax and enjoy the day as it goes by so quickly. Also, I think having a video is a great idea, as it is really nice to be able to watch the day back.

Don’t stress, things will work out and in the end, you’ll be more focused on the people you’re with and the person you’re here for. Savour every moment of the day as it passes all too quickly.
