Marcus Cooper The Fort Hays senior guard came through clutch to help the Tiger men pick up two key home wins in mid-January. Cooper scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 69-65 win over Northeastern State on Jan. 10, scoring the last eight points of the game. He then put up 24 points on 9-of-10 shooting in a 90-84 win over Central Oklahoma on Jan 12. Cooper is averaging is 14.7 points per game for the Tigers.

Jillian Lowe The Thomas More Prep-Marian senior guard has been the leader of the Monarchs after heavy graduation losses from last year. She hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to help the Monarchs knock off previously-unbeaten Trego, 44-43 on Jan. 8. Lowe put up a career-high 18 points to help TMP take a 42-27 win RYHU 2DNOH\ LQ WKH ÆUVW URXQG RI WKH MCL Tournament on Jan. 15.

Efe Osaghae The Fort Hays wrestler was the No. 4-ranked 157-pounder as of Jan. 16. He was 17-3 overall and 11-2 against Division II foes. Of his 17 ZLQV 2VDJKDH KDG ÆYH technical falls with one pin to pin his credit. The St. Louis product claimed his second individual title of the season by claiming the Kansas Cup in the 165-pound weight class.

Jared Mayers The TMP senior forward came through with the best stretch of his career in January, which included a career-high 20-point outing in a win over Smith Center. He also had 11 points in a win against Trego and chipped in 13 points to help the Monarchs edge Ellis by a point in the MCL Tournament quarterÆQDOV
