A world-class show jumping competition that lives up to its standards! For the second year in a row, Al Forsan International Sports Resort in Abu Dhabi hosted the final round of the Global Champions Tour (GCT), a prestigious show jumping event.

Organisé sous le haut patronage de SA Sheikh Khalifa et de SA Sheikh Mohammed, le GCT a permis que soit tournée une nouvelle page de l’avenir de la capitale des Emirats. L’évènement rassemblait les meilleurs cavaliers mondiaux de nationalités différentes et de réputation internationale. L’enjeu le plus excitant était sans conteste l’attribution du titre de champion du monde de sauts d’obstacles 2012 car, cette année, les compétitions opposaient deux cavaliers dotés d’un nombre égal de points le premier jour, à l’arrivée à Abu Dhabi: l’Australienne Edwina Tops-Alexander et le Suédois Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. The GCT, organized under the high patronage of SA Sheikh Khalifa and SA Sheikh Mohammed, has given the capital of the Emirates the chance to take a new step into the future. The event brought together the world’s best riders, all from different countries and internationally renowned. Without doubt, the nomination of the world champion in high jumping 2012 was the most awaited moment for, this year, the battle opposed two riders, who, at the beginning of the event in Abu Dhabi were on equal points: Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander and the Swedish rider RolfGöran Bengtsson.
