Rice is in our DNA. It is part of our culture, our way of understanding life. In fact, we could say that the rice, for the Valencians, is the life cooked and put on the table at mealtimes. And with thoughts like these we started the road nineteen years ago with the Gastronomic Days of KIKO PORT. The challenge was to show and demonstrate the versatility of a basic cereal in the history of mankind and that is why we challenge ourselves to make a different rice every day. From that first day in 1998 until today the world has changed. The changes affect all aspects of life: technology, information, communication and, of course, gastronomy. That is why this year we have introduced a substantial change to our rice days. We decided to join the week of dried rice in paella and the rice in the oven of previous years in just one week and complete the gap left with a week dedicated to culinary creativity. The idea is to continue making way with rice, to follow the path of the flavor and to walk with him while we work the furrows of life. So is our rice ... your rice!

Every year we try to bring something new to the Gastronomic Days of Kiko Port. This year this new is innovation. Novelty why, as we have already said, we have put together dry rice in paella and rice in the oven in a single week. Innovation because we have completed this gap with a risky offer: a week dedicated to creativity in which we propose alternatives to rice and noodle, new options to expand the flavors that we already know. In it we will combine legumes, fish, meats and vegetables like we had not done before and we will change some dishes of all life, like the rice with the large beans and turnips, to present them in a really novel way. We are convinced that you will like it!
