Scouting news for innovation

State of the Innovation Union: Taking Stock 2010-2014 The European Commission recently published a new communication on "Research and Innovation as sources of renewed growth". It is underpinned by the 2014 "State of the Innovation Union" report, which details the steps taken and first results delivered since 2010 to implement the Innovation Union flagship initiative of the Europe 2020 growth strategy. The progress made are stocked in the following blocks: strengthening the knowledge base and reducing fragmentation, getting ideas to market, maximizing social and territorial cohesion, the European Innovation Partnerships (EIPs), leveraging EU policies externally, and making it happen.
