The Futuristic Renault Trezor
The two-seater electric coupe features some of the most unique styling on car we've ever seen. Across the whole body there is only one visible seam where the roof connects to the bottom half of the car, giving the car a very futuristic look. The reason for the lack of lines across the body is due to its unique roof. A clamshell style opens up "much like a jewellery box" to give passengers access to the interior. Whether this was designed for style or for the practicality of being to enter the car with limited room, but it could certainly be a useful feature in tight spots. Breaking up the smooth bodywork is both red glazing and hexagons etched onto the rear portion of the roof and the C-shape headlight design - a signature of Renault. Ultimately its shape is that of a GT but the size, ride height and technology puts it into a class of its own and looks like the sort of car a Bond villain should be driving. The Trezor is 4.7 metres long, 2.1 metres wide and 1.08 metres tall. It produces 260kW (350hp) and 380Nm motor which accelerates the Trezor from 0 to 62 mph in under four seconds. The Trezor features two batteries, each of which has its own cooling system optimised by the variable-geometry air intake incorporated in the bonnet. Trezor also uses a brake-operated energy recovery system, courtesy of the Rechargeable Energy Storage System (RESS) technology developed for Formula E racing. This concept car is the fruit of a freedom of expression and prepares the way for the trends we are likely to see in our upcoming vehicles. Renault hope to make the Trezor a commercial product by 2020.

Brexit: Drriving Abroad is Changing
Although much of the situation still remains unclear, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency of the British goverment has issued a stark warning for drivers to get ready now for any impending changes. For example the information states that if you are a commerical driver operating in the EU, you need to prepare fo Brexit by making sue you have the right documents. to prepare for deal or no deal scenaios, you will need to : register trailers for international commercial use weighing over 750kg Check if you need International Driving Permits and how many you need, contact your vehicle insurance provider to get a motor insuance green card Display a GB sticker on your vehicle and register for Brexit updates. From the 28th March 2019 all commecial tailers over 750kg must be registered to travel from the UK to the EU. If the UK leaves the EU without a deal on 29th March, you might need a International driving permit (IDP) to drive in EU and the European Economic Area (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstien). After Brexit , in the event of no deal, you will need a 1949 pemit to drive in Spain, Iceland, Malta & Cyprus on holiday. You can get IDPs from the post office. Green cards are an intenational certificate of motor insurance so if its a no deal, commerical drivers may need a green card as proof of third party motor insurance. You may also have to display a GB sticker even if your vehicle has a Euro-plate, if the UK leave with no deal.

Advance CarTechnology Although the basic principles of car mechanics have not been changed for decades, new technology implemented in modern vehicles has made all the difference. Compared to the cars from the late ’90s, today’s vehicles are robots on wheels capable of protecting their passengers better, applying brakes by themselves and even recognizing drivers’ intentions. But that doesn’t mean the evolution has reached its peak. In fact, new technology is introduced daily, and in the next 3 editions we are going to tell you about 15 advances in the car industry that will certainly change the way we drive in just a couple of years from now. This is the follow up from last month, these are the last 5 so get ready, because the future is here. Cars That Can Monitor Your Health The idea behind this concept is that your car can monitor your health and warn you if your body temperature, heart rate or blood pressure are not normal. In extreme cases, the car will send a call for help saving you valuable time. But, how will the car know if there is something wrong with you? The seat belt will be full of sensors and since it is ideally positioned from your shoulder to your hip it can monitor your body while you drive.
Advanced Vehicle Tracking Vehicle tracking has been a common thing for years, but the next generation will depend on in-car internet and GPS, and will provide much more than just the location. Car tracking companies will soon be able to provide information about your speed, traffic violations, the distance you have driven in a period of time and basically every piece of information regarding your driving. Sounds pretty scary, and it is. Also, you can expect that insurance companies will take full advantage of total tracking systems.
Active Window Glass The manufacturers have already implemented HUD systems into cars, but car glass companies are experimenting with visual active materials which can turn to full displays in a matter of seconds. Imagine your windshield acting like a big iPad display on which you can control every in-car function and turn into ordinary see-through glass in a split second. The active glass technology can also make photoactive car windows which tint automatically to protect the passengers from the sun.
Engines Without Camshafts One of the most important parts of a car’s engine are camshafts which control the valves on top of the cylinders. However, if you replace the camshaft, springs and whole assembly with a set of electromagnets and precision software, you will get better revving engine, more power, cleaner emissions and better fuel economy. Not to mention smaller dimensions of the engine itself. Several companies are now preparing to commence the production of engines equipped with this system.
Electric Vehicles Tesla and similar car manufacturers have already made a revolution in the car industry with their models. In just a few short years, we have changed our views of electric cars. At first, electric cars were considered quirky and obscure vehicles with not so impressive specifications, but now, they have become cool and amazingly fast. In fact, Tesla can outrun a Porsche 911 Turbo in stop light drag race! However, we have seen nothing yet and as more and more companies introduce fully electric cars, gasoline powered cars could be bound for museums in near future.

Lego kits can be incredibly cool, and there’s probably a model out there to fit your interests, but these kits are on a whole new level! Partnerships between automotive manufacturers and The Lego Group aren’t uncommon either. Ford and BMW are just two automakers who have gone the extra mile to prove they’re more creative than competitors.Obviously, none of the life-size Lego cars are up for sale, and while that’s a shame, it’s probably for the best. Each model is comprised of hundreds of thousands of Lego bricks and took designers hundreds of hours of labor to complete. The Lego Technic kits, on the other hand, are available now.
Life-Size: Toyota Camry
McNaught is one of just 14 LEGO certified professionals in the world. He built the life-size Lego Toyota Camry over an eight-week period. The red midsize sedan was created from more than 500,000 Lego bricks and 900 hours of labor. The model weighs in at a hefty 4,000 pounds or 800 pounds more than an actual 2018 Camry. McNaught showed off his creation at the Brickman Awesome exhibition earlier this year.
Life-Size: McLaren 720S
The Peterson Automotive Museum currently houses a life-size Lego McLaren supercar. Comprised of more than 280,000 Lego bricks, the 720S took 20 times longer to build than a real, handcrafted version of the factory. The life-size Lego model sits on real Pirellis and black rims. Unlike the real 720S, the Lego version weighs in at 3,200 lbs. a good amount more than a real model.
Life-Size: 1964 Ford Mustang
The model made its debut at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2016. The life-size Lego replica Mustang weighed in at more than 1,700 lbs. It sat on an aluminum chassis that contributed about 750 lbs. to its total weight. Lego designers went the extra mile with the replica 1964 Ford Mustang. The headlights and taillights actually work, giving the pony car an extra dose of authenticity. The life-size 1964 Mustang replaced the Lego Explorer at LEGOLAND.
