the three-wheeler Fire Bike (also known as the Red Scorpion) – the latest firefighting tool in the SCDF. Next up was LTC Alvin Tan, Head Ops 2nd CD Division, who shared his experience at the fire rescue operations at East Village Hotel. This was followed by LTA Huang Rong Sheng, a ROTA Commander from Central Fire Station, who recounted how his team extracted the bodies of two workers buried in wet cement at the Bugis scaffold collapse incident. Both operations serve as good case studies due to their challenging nature. The workshop ended with an update on upcoming changes to the Crisis Volunteer Scheme. “The presentation showcased the achievements that the SCDF has worked so hard to accomplish,” said participant MAJ (NS) Raizan Abdul Razak. “I am proud to be a part of this organisation.”
