Pottery with Bob Detamore Students will study basic but important techniques of throwing pottery forms on the wheel, centering the ball, pulling cylinders, and handbuilding. Emergency Closing - Inclement Weather -

The decision to close Gordon State College due to inclement weather is carefully weighed before it is made. If the college is closed because of inclement weather, every effort will be made to provide make-up sessions at the discretion of the college. Please make sure the office of Community Education has your current contact information.

- Students with special needs must notify the Community Education office a minimum of two business days before the course start date so appropriate accommodations can be arranged. Student Accommodations

- The campus will be closed on May 30 (Memorial Day) and July 4 (Independence Day). No Community Education camps or courses will meet on these days. Holidays

PARKING PERMITS - Community Education students need parking decals for their vehicles. Parking permits will be given to students from the Community Education office, once registration is completed.

All Junior Highlander Registrations - Fees include a $50 non-refundable fee (except for swim lessons). All registrations will receive a handbook via email or postal mail. The forms in the handbook will need to be completed by the parent and/or guardian, and returned to the Community Education office prior to the start of the camp(s) registered. If the required forms have not been completed and returned, the child will not be allowed to participant in the camp(s).

- There will be no refunds once the selected camp has started. If you should need to withdraw your child from the program, please notify the Community Education office at least one week prior to the start of the camp; you will be given a refund for the camp registration minus the required non-refundable deposit. If a camp is canceled by the Community Education office due to low enrollment or other reasons, you will receive a full refund, including the non-refundable deposit.
