What’s Happening In The C.O?!

!

GT-Who is Raven Kapone? R.K- Raven Kapone, he is just that dude…he's that dude that can't be turned down. Any obstacle you put front of him, he's going to just gonna walk right over it! Rather it’s from engineer, to producer, graphic designer to manager. It don't matter, put a hump in front of him, he's going right over it GT- How do you give back to your community? R.K- I specialize in managing and helping out the under dogs, the dudes that can not pay for studio time, the dudes who cant pay top price for the graphic designs, the dudes who people who wont put them in the show because they don't think they are good enough and all that. Because i was a under dog once, so what i do and what i specialize in is I’m going to always help out the dude because nobody else want to help. GT- Being an underdog and not being able to pay for studio times your self-how and why did you keep doing music? R.K- I just kept at it, I did a lot of time on house arrest so I was always electronically inclined with stuff. It was just hard putting things together so I just had to keep going. Built my own studio. Started off from Karaoke machine to 1000's of dollar equipment type stuff. GT- What was your first project? R.K- My first project was "Ghetto Literature" Me and my cousin Yoyito Kapasa, made all those beats on a little Toys R Us keyboard and recorded it through Karaoke and it was on cassette. Those songs will actually be released in the next year or so because we want to spice them up (no rerecording) we just want to doctor them up to improve the sound… and that was my first project. GT- So from Ghetto Literature to where you are now, how have you grown as a man? R.K- In every way, I mean from knowing how to trouble shoot a problem, to executing a problem to putting out a product (not that they want to hear at first) but we concentrate on music that when you first hear it, you're not going to like it because it's real. We are not putting out no whammy's. But after the third time you hear it is stuck in your head, now you’re irritated at me because you cant do nothing but use it. GT- How important is it to understand the business side of entertainment?

R.K- It is so important because you have to understand that at the end of the day somebody has got to get paid for something happening. If you think you are about to just walk through all of this and think nobody's getting paid. And think you are about to get the results you want, man… good luck! That’s why a lot of people go to the studio and be like "my shit don't sound right"… "My shit don't sound right"! Well the reason is you walked in there already trying to negotiate your price, so you get what you paid for. The business side of it is, if you paid for it you know what you are getting, If you try to bull shit that payment, then you got to understand what you are getting into. " You bullshit me … you gone get bullshit"! I cut it off at the root, you come in negotiating and bullshitting, keep your money; I got money, we good. Because I am not about to sit here and let you damage my name, because you don't understand your business, I understand mine and a lot of people don't understand that. GT- Who are your favorite top 5 artists in Columbus? R.K- I’m gonna take it back a little bit with Black Box Diamond. Diamond is really, really dope. I got to say Young Wise because he taught me how to think outside the box before him and me became a part of the same entertainment label. I love Big Bro GT because he makes real music like I do and he is not false! That's three … let's see; Of course I have to give it to my number one franchise player artist C Jerknz, nightlife. He just proved to me that he could jump to every category of music and win. To the jungolo music, to the rock in roll, to the hip hop dance, to the party music, to the hood music. Growing up on the north side of Columbus, you kind of go through all of theses stages and he proved it through his music. Now the fifth one is kind of hard but me being as cocky as I want to be…I’m going to say myself. I’m one of the greatest ever because I have proven I can do everything. I can write a song, I write my own music. I can make the beat. I can produce it. Do the video, do the graphic design and put it all out in less than 7 or 8 hours and it'll be a hit. And perform it and do a damn good job of it. But if I weren’t going to include my self, my fifth person would be Blast. Benjamin Bucks Blast use to be a part of Nite Lyfe years ago, I through a king of the 614 free style battles and I did it the right way. I had a 4-foot trophy made, it was gold plated. It wasn't real gold it was sprayed and he won. I put him up against people and he won with the beat and he won A Capella. A lot of people don't know that Blast rap but he is a dope ass rapper. He just doesn’t do it.

!

GT-You came up in an era when music was real and hip-hop was real, so what mainstream artist influenced you the most? R.K-Growing up on the North side of Columbus, I never listened to Hip Hop. I never listed to Kool Moe Dee, Run DMC, or LL Cool J. Growing up on the North-side of Columbus we listened to people like the Geto Boys, Brotha Lynch Hung, and Top Authority GT- Do you feel like Hip Hop is the culture and rap is the element? R.K-True GT- So, There are different styles of rap but it all falls under hip-hop. R.K - I don't know not one lyric to Kool G Rap or nobody, because that wasn't introduced to me. GT- I feel like all of the people who founded hip-hop … they rap, I feel like hip-hop is the sub cultural of the United States. R.K- True but that’s if you are introduced to the knowledge. All I knew back then was Spice One. When Brotha Lynch Hung, Top Authority and Rated R back then…. When people stay LL Cool J … I'm like who? I'm listening to Geto Boys… LL cool J …Mamma said knock you out! That song was stupid as fuck to me. Personally until I got to listen to it We were listen to real stuff like Bushwick Bill saying my mind playing tricks on me… when you waking up in the hood and you go in the kitchen and you think you are about to eat a the whole loaf of bread because it look good and you open it up and the bread is all green, your mind playing tricks on you and you cant eat it now. So what you got to do …go to free lunch. Hip Hop to me… I didn't know nothing about that i was dealing with the real struggle. How many of y'all know about eating free lunch and if you didn't get there in time you only get banana pudding without the chips? That’s the difference between hip-hop and rap… rap is only introduced to so many things. You are what you are introduced to and I wasn't introduced to hip-hop at all. If you say name an old school song, I will say In between the sheets by the islet brothers because that’s what i was introduced to. GT- What is the meaning behind Nyte Lyfe? R.K- Back in the day in the daytime you did certain thins… in the nighttime you did certain things. My life started at night. So it only made scenes to do Nite Lyfe. Now I’m not an entertainment company, I’m not a corporation. All I ever wanted to do was put out records so I started Night Lyfe records. In the daytime we don't do nothing in the studio. We working, spinning time with our kids, paying bills and doing all of that. Once it gets dark we working. GT- How important is the community to you? R.K-The community is really important because if you really from the hood and you really telling your story in your music…if you go out and walk for 10 minutes it will reminds you of a lot of things that happened back in the day. So now I tell people if you can give back just a little bit … then help give back a little bit. Like why not? If you got some shoes you haven't wore in 6 months, then go give them to dude down the street. We do a lot of charity work on Mt. Vernon, with the bruhs, Tri Temple, the Masons and everything, that’s what we do. I really didn't understand that until i hooked up with them. Now it makes sense. If i buy two T-shirts every weekend for two years… I have two bags of T-shirts. When it comes to these charity events, I make sure I wash them, I'll have somebody else iron them, fold them up and put them in a bag and guess what? I’m giving out fresh t-shirts, everybody got fresh tees. So community is very important because I’m still a part of the community. No matter how much money you make, no matter what deal we sign, we still here regardless.

GT-Do you really live what you rap about? R.K-Yes, yes, yes. You’ll hear it in my songs, one of my favorite lines I say "I never been a dope boy, I’m a pimp, I'll sell a bitch". I always figured it, I’m an action type dude, nothing wrong with niggas that do what they do, but i can’t sit there waiting for my phone to ring. I’m that dud that got to keep moving. If you listen to my music, it talks about a lot that vie been through, a lot that i know people are going through, a lot of death, a lot of life. I believe in God so I got music like " I don't want to fall back to the streets" is my confession to God, like I'm really talking to Him, and I got inspired through that from like people like Pac and DMX mostly. So you can classify me as being gangster, street music, and that’s true, I’m fulfilling both categories. You got the hard and you got the soft part. The soft part is more realistic, the hard part is more like fuck with me and you gone get it. Soft part is like i rather not do it … hard part is like it’s a line there! GT- What is hip-hop to you? R.K- Honestly I don't know what hip-hop is any more. Its so many fuck up shit going on right now, I don't even know what is going on. I don't know where music is going, for real if something don't change there ain't going to be no more music this shit is just going to be a hobby. It ain’t going to be no money in, it ain’t going to be no exposure, it ain’t going to be a lot of stuff. Because people are taking advantage of the good opportunities and they putting shit on it and now we got to work harder for people like me putting out real music. Dude down the street ain’t never sold nothing in his life but his brothers do, instead of him keeping it real saying his family got money, he puts his self in a situation, then try to make a dance out of it. You can’t be a G and dance…. It don't work. The day I see a nigga in some skinny jeans, and pink looking like he need to be on wall street, shoot up a club, I will retract everything I said. From where I’m from, that don't work! GT-Where are you from? R.K- North-side 18th and Cleveland, TFCP The Franklin County President

GT-What are your goals for the next five years? R.K- I’m only in it to make sure my kids ain’t got to worry. So if I never get signed as a rapper… that’s why in my company, I do everything myself. What is the title of your new project? I talk to executives all time and all they want to see is business. I provide business and i put artists on like C Jerknz. I put producers like out in Atlanta and Washington D.C like I guarantee, I put motherfuckers like that on. PC just got signed to Def Jam, he use to be with Black Box. He about to come back to the city and fuck with us now. So the reality is you have to be comfortable with yourself and your decisions because time does run out. The fucked up part is people are still getting signed at the age of 40, so i still got a chance because I’m not up there yet. I will still challenge anybody (not to a battle) but to just talk business. Because I’m good at what I do! GT-What is your next project to drop? R.K- My next project just became official a week ago, it was suppose to been a Nyte Lyfe Full project but from trials and tribulations, I talked to C jerknz (I really confined in him, he's my motivation right night) its called " One Step Closer" my business is so immaculate right now, I that dude who can go sit with anyone they want right now and still go sit with a million dollar man, the funny part abut it is I've done it! I set with the Mc Donald's dude for a commercial (a lot of y'all don't know about that). I set there just like this and they looked like " not another trap star"! I wore these fronts for 14 years now. After showing them my paper work… I felt like they cant deny what I do. I don't even dress up for court. I work hard as hell, I’m allowed to spoil myself. " One Step Closer" We been introduced to a lot of things, talked to a lot of people, not saying its going to be this or its going to be that but I know right now I put Nyte Lyfe Records in a dope standing that people are still trying to fathom out how to get close to a inch of where we at. If your business is right all you need is a conversation. If you don't take part in a conversation, that’s really your fault. GT-How important is love and loyalty? R.K- It’s actually everything! I don't know who or who don't agree with me but Love and Loyalty to me is actually the same word. That’s how I live by it.

So matter how you use either word in either sentence it mean the same thing. If you fell on either side man that’s your ass! Loyalty to me means if a man breaks 1% of his time in a day to better your life in any kind of way, do not leave that man. Because the next motherfucker is going to take 2 % of your time to get to where they need to go and leave you back and that falls on love too. GT-How important is Girlfriends Talk Magazine to the entertainment and underground scene? R.K- For the ones who don't know and the ones who ignore the shit. Columbus Ohio has no tabloid. Girlfriends Talk, I've read it, it makes sense. I’m not shitting on nobody else's work, but I know what I like. Like I always say Angela Jolie and Brad Pitt will never have to make another movie ever because they are always in the tabloids. So if Girlfriends Talk always keep someone in the tabloid or only focus on one of five people we got a chance at something. You pick five people out the city and you talk about them, people will get tired at first but after a while they'll except it because if somebody makes you look important, People will doubt you, but people will start looking into you and doing their research, they'll be like oh shit what is this about? People may feel like oh he just another rapper… but no, do your research. What have I really done? At the end of the day Girlfriends Talk is important because they are actually trying to get motherfuckers on board. The best part is y'all are on that consistency thing and y'all picking it up. This might be one interview for a nigga, but you don't know, something really dope might happen for a nigga in the next two weeks where we got to do another interview. Y'all show that y'all not afraid to work with us and that give us a chance to show y'all what’s up. So of course I’m going to rock with y'all. GT-How do you feel about social media? R.K-Social media is going to be social media, its up to the people to decide how they're gonna take it. The world is filled with actors, if you talk a good game, anybody will believe you. Social media is suppose to be there for entertainment. For the people who are abusing it, guess what? …It’s suppose to be that way. Now it’s up to certain people to take charge and divide what’s real and what’s fake. I can go to Lamborghini lot with all my jewelry on and be in front of a Lambo and everybody will be like "RAVEN ABOUT TO GET A LAMBO" but then you only see me in my truck. Everybody don't see everything, so it’s up to the people to divide.

But it’s supposed to be tainted and good. Social media is very important to us here because we don't have Clear Channel or Power 107.5 backing like we know they really could. We know money really move something’s but if I took $5000 to Power 107.5 what’s that gonna do? We have to take what we can, we just don't have enough people to work together and make it blow up. If 20 of us blowing up, people ain’t got to do nothing, but jump on the bandwagon, but everybody stuck in their zone because they are afraid of disappointment. They just "feel like if we fail. We gone fail on our own, we ain’t gonna let nobody be the judge of what we doing! That’s cool tho…but I have to move forward regardless. GT- What is Cocktail Club The movement? R.K- Cocky Club …Wise is the president…Mo Bixby is the CEO…I'm the 3rd in command. They been gathering artists for a couple of years now. They are nor just artist, they are people who have business aspects about themselves. Everybody have their own label or are apart of a successful label somewhere. Cocky Club is a bunch of Bosses then artists. We help motivate each other to go further. Wise had a distribution deal out of New York. Right now were pushing Wise again. He dropped 'Selfish"…he done an album with Crooked I and everybody, he got some dope features. Mo Bixby got songs on ITunes, making money… SDot… Sway over there doing videos… DJ KingSeven was on tour … he about to go back on tour. Then you got somebody like me Franklin County Presidents holding down out here, keeping the name alive. You got Smith down in Atlanta with Fiyah Magazine South…man that’s really dope right now! Arsonist just audition for a film project with Jazzy Lyfe. Everybody's a boss on their own and everybody have their own particular flavor, that’s why there’s not a lot of us but its a nice little circle and when we come back out with all of our products everybody is going to see what they seen at the beginning of 2013. GT-What does support mean to you? R.K-Support is learning how to put yourself second if you have to.

GT: Who has been your biggest supporter? R.K: I have people around me but I can’t give them credit for supporting me. I have to give myself credit because I have so much weight on my shoulders. My supporters can be my kids and my mom. They might not listen to my music, they may not follow my music but they know this is what I love and they give me that spiritual energy that I need to keep going. C Jerknz, The whole Cocky Club they support me Its a lot of labels and radio stations.

Oh yeah…you knew I was coming back with my male version of my last blog "Truth Be Told". So this is part two, make sure you log onto My2196.com to check that out. So, the statistics states 60% of married men and 40% of married women will have an affair? Now, I touched on this topic in an earlier blog I wrote titled "State Of Bliss". So I'm going to curve this piece and go out on a limb and ask, "why do men have such a short attention span" and "why are they so easily bored"? I can also go out on that same limb and tell you just what I think. 1.) Some men marry to have that "Huxtable" picture life, giving the illusion that they have their shit together, Or 2.) Maybe it truly is cheaper to keep her. But as soon as they think no one can see them they hawking that chick with the video vixen ways! Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with looking but some men are just plain ole weak! Drowning in curiosity…knowing damn well kills the cat (or dog) … and truthfully temptation is purely powerful…however you look at it, some men just don't have a faithful bone in their body and they think that's a man's thing. Most of these men have seen their fathers, grandfathers and or uncles behave in this manner. There is no proof that this behavior is genetic. They lie for each other, cover for each other and at the end of the day feel offended when you call them out on their BS! Yeah I know you want to call me "bitter" and ask me "who hurt me" but that's not the case, I'm telling you what I've learned based off of my own experience and others around me.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!9,$+!::! ! ! ;<!=,(#2'!>,$+'$! 10 reasons Men Cheat !

• • • • • • •

• • •

Boredom A roving eye A nagging wife A neglected wife Sexual incompatibility To try out something new Easy access to female companionship Male ego Peer pressure A wife paying too much attention to children and household chores!

I can also say that some women play mind games to see if she can get something she knows she's not suppose to have or they fall for the man's "I'm not happy at home line" an assume she might be a better fit for him or she can give him what his wife is lacking. Not being smart enough to know that nothing can make a man stay anywhere he doesn't want to be. Either way he choses to run game, his weak ass loses every time! For some reason "taken" guys always want to approach me. I believe I am so open they think I would be more understanding to their foolishness. Maybe they prey on the one they think wouldn't mind or that woman that always screaming " Imma do me"! Now I can't lie… I felt this way at one point of time but after analyzing this concept and even trying to rationalize it by saying "some women have done it to me". At the end of the day I had to sum it up to my self worth and what I deserve. I believe men go through a stage where they want to have something to brag about with the fellas…or just to see if he still has it. Men also want to have their egos stroked and experience the adrenaline of feeling like they are getting away with something. I've heard some men say they avoid temptation by not being in certain atmospheres or positions… but it is absolutely impossible to avoid the opposite sex. It's impossible to avoid the little things women might do for attention, like showing cleavage, smelling good or having a well-portioned body that you can't help but notice…. Can you honestly say you can't hear 2 Chains voice in the back of your head saying "One Time Is Fine With Me"! Truth of the matter is men need just as much of attention as a woman does! Men are becoming bolder and bolder as certain things are accepted in the new age way of living. Like threesomes, going to strip clubs and forgiveness after previous adultery act. None of this stuff is new… its just women don't want to fight about it anymore…1) Their either doing the same thing, 2) They have accepted the clichés fact that all men cheat or 3) the fear of being alone! A man will only do what you allow him to do and ladies’ being bored is not a good enough reason to help him break his vows.

Health Fibromyalgia! Fibromyalgia (pronounced fy-bro-my-AL-ja) is a common and complex chronic pain disorder that affects people physically, mentally and socially. Fibromyalgia is a syndrome rather than a disease. Unlike a disease, which is a medical condition with a specific cause or causes and recognizable signs and symptoms, a syndrome is a collection of signs, symptoms, and medical problems that tend to occur together but are not related to a specific, identifiable cause. Fibromyalgia, which has also been referred to as fibromyalgia syndrome, fibromyositis and fibrositis, is characterized by chronic widespread pain, multiple tender points, abnormal pain processing, sleep disturbances, fatigue and often psychological distress. For those with severe symptoms, fibromyalgia can be extremely debilitating and interfere with basic daily activities. Whether you have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia or suffer from its symptoms, or have a family member or friend with the disorder, this section is designed to provide you with a better understanding of this chronic pain disorder that affects millions of people worldwide.

Causes While the underlying cause or causes of FM still remain a mystery, new research findings continue to bring us closer to understanding the basic mechanisms of fibromyalgia. Most researchers agree that FM is a disorder of central processing with neuroendocrine/neurotransmitter dysregulation. The FM patient experiences pain amplification due to abnormal sensory processing in the central nervous system. An increasing number of scientific studies now show multiple physiological abnormalities in the FM patient, including: increased levels of substance P in the spinal cord, low levels of blood flow to the thalamus region of the brain, HPA axis hypofunction, low levels of serotonin and tryptophan and abnormalities in cytokine function. Recent studies show that genetic factors may predispose individuals to a genetic susceptibility to FM. For some, the onset of FM is slow; however, in a large percentage of patients the onset is triggered by an illness or injury that causes trauma to the body. These events may act to incite an undetected physiological problem already present. Exciting new research has also begun in the areas of brain imaging and neurosurgery. Ongoing research will test the hypothesis that FM is caused by an interpretative defect in the central nervous system that brings about abnormal pain perception. Medical researchers have just begun to untangle the truths about this life-altering disease.

Chronic widespread body pain is the primary symptom of fibromyalgia. Most people with fibromyalgia also experience moderate to extreme fatigue, sleep disturbances, sensitivity to touch, light, and sound, and cognitive difficulties. Many individuals also experience a number of other symptoms and overlapping conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome, lupus and arthritis. • Pain The pain of fibromyalgia is profound, chronic and widespread. It can migrate to all parts of the body and vary in intensity. FM pain has been described as stabbing and shooting pain and deep muscular aching, throbbing, and twitching. Neurological complaints such as numbness, tingling, and burning are often present and add to the discomfort of the patient. The severity of the pain and stiffness is often worse in the morning. Aggravating factors that affect pain include cold/humid weather, non-restorative sleep, physical and mental fatigue, excessive physical activity, physical inactivity, anxiety and stress. • Fatigue In today's world many people complain of fatigue; however, the fatigue of FM is much more than being tired after a particularly busy day or after a sleepless night. The fatigue of FM is an all-encompassing exhaustion that can interfere with occupational, personal, social or educational activities. Symptoms include profound exhaustion and poor stamina • Sleep problems Many fibromyalgia patients have an associated sleep disorder that prevents them from getting deep, restful, restorative sleep. Medical researchers have documented specific and distinctive abnormalities in the Stage 4 deep sleep of FM patients. During sleep, individuals with FM are constantly interrupted by bursts of awake-like brain activity, limiting the amount of time they spend in deep sleep. • Other symptoms/overlapping conditions Additional symptoms may include: irritable bowel and bladder, headaches and migraines, restless legs syndrome (periodic limb movement disorder), impaired memory and concentration, skin sensitivities and rashes, dry eyes and mouth, anxiety, depression, ringing in the ears, dizziness, vision problems, Raynaud's Syndrome, neurological symptoms, and impaired coordination.

Beauty

Many African-Americans, Hispanics, and people with thick or curly hair develop a type of ingrown hair called pseudofolliculitis. More commonly known as "razor bumps," this collection of little bumps is common on the beard area after you've shaved, waxed, or tweezed to remove unwanted hair. The hair that grows back in has a sharper edge, so it can more easily poke back through the skin and get trapped under the surface. Ingrown Hair Treatment

Ingrown hairs are hairs that have curled around and grown back into your skin instead of rising up from it. Sometimes dead skin can clog up a hair follicle. That forces the hair inside it to grow sideways under the skin, rather than upward and outward. Ingrown hairs aren't serious. But they can be irritating and embarrassing. What Does an Ingrown Hair Look Like? An ingrown hair irritates the skin. It produces a raised, red bump (or group of bumps) that looks like a little pimple. Sometimes an ingrown hair can form a painful, boil-like sore. Ingrown hairs can be itchy and uncomfortable, especially if you've got a lot of them. You may notice pus inside the bumps. Or you may see the hair that's causing the problem. In men, ingrown hairs often pop up as a bunch of little bumps on the chin, cheeks, or neck after they've shaved. In women, ingrown hairs are common on the legs, as well as in the pubic area and armpits. You can also get ingrown hairs around your buttocks. Ingrown Hair Causes Anyone can get an ingrown hair. But the problem is more common in people who have very curly or coarse hair. Curly hair is more likely to bend back and re-enter the skin, especially after it's been shaved or cut. Also, people with high levels of certain sex hormones can have excessive hair growth, which makes it more likely to get ingrown hairs.

Often an ingrown hair will go away on its own. If it doesn't go away, an ingrown hair can become infected, permanently darken the skin, or leave behind a scar, especially if you've been scratching or picking at it. If an ingrown hair is bothering you or has become infected, your doctor can make a small cut in your skin with a sterile needle or scalpel to release it. Your doctor may also prescribe medicine such as: • Steroid medicine that you rub on your skin to bring down the swelling • Retinoids (Retin A) to remove dead skin cells and reduce the skin pigment changes that can occur from ingrown hairs • Antibiotic that you take by mouth or rub onto your skin to treat an ingrown hair infection There isn't any real treatment for ingrown hair other than to grow out your beard. Longer hairs aren't as sharp at the ends, so they won't be as likely to curl around and break through the skin. But for men who prefer a clean shave -or women -- avoiding the razor may not be an option.

It seem as if that message to bring that "old thing" back is spreading. More and more. There are really some great talented artists right here in the city and I am proud to say it’s too many to name. Then there’s Rashad… I know I am late on him but I am aware now and for the last few weeks his music has been in heavy rotation in my stereo and my head. Proving that it isn't impossible to stick to the blueprint as some of the greats like Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye or Rashad Thomas was born into a musical family on the south side of Columbus, Ohio where he self taught himself to pay music by ear. Old school music was embedded in him as a child so it’s only natural that his only goal would be to bring back that good music with substance back. Rashad also credits to his music abilities the titles of being a Producer, recording engineer, songwriter and performer. He has performed with artists such as Wale, Diplo, K'naan, Drake. Curenn$y, Chip Da Ripper, Dead Prez, Cheri Dennis, Freeway, Jadakiss, Sheek Loch, Ma$e, Jay Electronica, Dweli, Rick Ross, Nelly, Dogg Pound, Talib Kweli, Mos Def and of course Stalley. As well as produced music for Curren$y and Stalley. He has appeared on 106 & Park and B.E.T Music Matter Showcase. His video" The Life " featuring The Lox's Styles P can be seen on Vevo and the mixtape Museum can be downloaded on YouTube.

No "Comment For PR Reasons” has got to be one of the dopest album titles I have ever heard. Although it is an old album for Scopes I still bang this album. Scopes is one the nicest lyrists here in the city. In my opinion his music is considered a rare commodity these days because it is filled with substance. . Thatʼs something our mainstream and underground music is lacking. On top of having nice writing skills he has great stage presence as well. Empire Ent affiliated, Scopes is humble and consistent his talent is beyond local underground and thatʼs the main reason why we need to get behind and support true talent. Pink , Black & White Fashion Ball

There is nothing like attending an event that is as special as recognizing survivors, especially when the survivors are of breast cancer. Yours truly was called into work the Red Carpet and I couldn't be anymore prouder than I was. I met some great people; saw some old friends and some pretty jazzy outfits. This was just on the outside‌ On the inside of this event was the hustle and bustle of what was yet to come. The ballroom was beautifully decorated in the titled color scheme making the anticipation of the event even more so exciting. The evening opened up with EV Jones and his band, setting the tempo for the night to come. Damien Sheppard was also in the building as co-host. Although Damien stay styling, later on in the evening Ev Jones would also make his modeling debut for The 2014 Industry Achievement Award Co Winner Corey Winborn. The show consisting of 70 Models, 9 fabulous designers and live entertainment made for a night of glamour ecstasy, This night was perfectly orchestrated and conquered in no other forum but the extravagant, most elegant Grand Valley Dale Ballroom. I believe there were a total of six breast cancer survivors who shared a V.I.P section, who were acknolged for their bravery, courage and strength to keep fighting, to keep living and most of all to keep smiling. They all were clearly enjoying themselves! The 9 designers were Corey Winborn. Francis Nicholls, known as Frankie Knuckles, was an American DJ and record producer. Nicholls was born in 1955 in The Bronx, New York; he later moved to Chicago. He played an important role in developing and popularizing house music in Chicago during the 1980s when the genre was in its infancy. Due to his importance in the development of the genre, Knuckles was often known as "The Godfather of House Music." The city of Chicago named a stretch of street and a day after Knuckles in 2004 for this role. His accomplishments earned him a Grammy Award in 1997. Knuckles was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame in 2005 as recognition for his achievements a record producer and DJ known as the Godfather of House music, has died at 59.

James Rebhorn, best known to many for playing the father to Carrie Mathison on Showtime's Homeland, died at the age of 65 at his home. He was also known for his appearances on Law & Order, Seinfeld, White Collar, The Good Wife, 30 Rock and Enlightened on the small screen. His big screen features include Independence Day, My Cousin Vinny, Scent of A Woman, Meet the Parents and The Talented Mr. Ripley to name a few.

Karyn Washington wanted to make other women of color feel pretty. She founded the blog For Brown Girls when she was just 19 to inspire women with darker skin tones to love their looks, and share stories of what she called "colorism" — discrimination based not just on race, but the degree of darkness of one’s skin. It quickly grew into a social movement for groups of like-minded — and similarly complexioned — women to get

together and talk about the things that make them feel marginalized and then do something about it. Her Dark Skin, Red Lip project, which encouraged black women to rock whatever shade of red lipstick made them feel gorgeous, became a social phenomenon of empowerment through beauty. Washington died April 8 of an apparent suicide. She was just 22.

I love sex games! They're fun, they're kinky, they're a great way to begin foreplay... I've compiled a list of my 7 favorite sex games to play to get things headed in the right direction (pssst...it's south lol). Here you go: 7. Naked Twister. Buy your own separate game of Twister (not one for the children to play with once you two get done playing with it, just being honest), get naked and play! Winner picks their favorite sex act. Also, in this game, I encourage cheating so if your mouth is close to something delicious (i.e. breasts, clitoris, penis, etc), feel free to take a few licks to make your partner lose balance. Plus every time a body part and color is called out that you're already on (for example, it lands on right hand blue and your right hand is already on blue) you get to take that right hand and fondle your partner for ten seconds and see who can stay in place or LOSE!

Sex has sooo many benefits... Due to the endorphins and chemicals released into our body such as oxytocin, dopamine, vasopressin, serotonin, HGH, and prolactin; we know that the wonderful, beautiful, and natural act of sex has the following benefits: • Natural pain reliever • Great exercise, improves muscle tone, flexibility, and blood flow throughout the body • Lowers your blood pressure • Reduces risk of heart attack, stroke, prostate cancer, and breast cancer • Natural antihistamine • Relieves stress • Lowers our risk of the common cold or flu by boosting our immunoglobulin which gives our immune system a boost. • Can promote more regular cycles in women and less cramps. • Increases your pain tolerance level. • Strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. • Boosts your libido. • Promotes faster healing and cell regeneration. • Promotes better sleep. • Promotes bonding, feelings of well being, love, and generosity with your partner. • Natural antidepressant, helping to relieve anxiety and depression. (And this isn't even all of them!)!!Recent studies have also been showing that sex can actually MAKE YOU SMARTER by promoting brain cell growth! Check out the article, Can Having Sex Make You Smarter? just published in a Psychology blog to read more about these interesting studies and what the researchers have found.!!More proof that sex is a gift to be celebrated!

6. Strip Poker. Whoever loses has to remove an article of clothing. After all articles of clothing are removed, you move on to sex acts every time you lose. (I use the term lose very loosely throughout this entire list since losing feels a lot like WINNING!) 5. Tongue Wars. Spell out words on each other's bodies with your tongue. Start on the back and with 4 to 5 letter words and play 3 rounds. Winner of each gets to choose to their favorite sex act! You can up the ante by moving on to sexier parts like the vagina and penis shaft or testicles and write words with your tongue. It will surely be hard to concentrate on letters with that wet tongue tantalizing your happy parts so GOOD LUCK! 4. Finger painting for Adults. With edible body paint, write words or draw shapes on your partners body. They must lie with their eyes closed and guess the word or shape. If they get it right, they choose an act; if they get it wrong, you choose. If you want to draw a straight line or circle to lose on purpose, I totally understand :) 3. Hide & Seek. Hide from your partner and they must find you in whatever allotted time you set depending on how big your house is. If they can't find you, you get a sex act or you can play one round and whoever wins gets to choose the nights role-play. All of these games can be adjusted to meet your kinky needs. 2. 60 Second Hot Potato. Set a timer for 60 seconds and see how hot you can make your partner in that 60 seconds. You can also add a blindfold to the mix and put one on the receiver. (By being blindfolded, their sense of sight is removed which heightens the other senses, most importantly the sense of touch.) Use your hands and tongue anywhere you want and drive your lover wild for 60 seconds to see just how erect or moist you can make them. There are no winners or losers in this game. I guess whoever begs for intercourse first "loses" (lol). 1. 7 Minutes of Heaven...Grown Up Style. Set the timer for 7 minutes and then go have a quickie in the closet. Knowing there is a time limit with a prize attached to it will get the blood pumping and adrenaline rushing and cause one hell of an orgasm. If you two meet your goal within 7 minutes, which of course is everyone cumming, you two treat yourselves to a movie, dinner, or some other favorite treat. No prize if you don't meet the time limit but you'll probably be too worn out from the hot sex to care. Happy Playing and Lovin and try these at home! Love, Nikki Ransom-Alfred

Don't confuse "Active" with Fit When it comes to excuses for not exercising, I’ve heard them all. Sometimes the excuse is self-inflicted: I don’t have the time. Other times the excuse is pure procrastination: I’m going to start as soon as tax season ends. And then there are excuses that are downright funny: I don’t like to sweat. As delicately as possible, I point out to these well meaning excuse-makers that, even though they don’t want to do it, exercise is an important part of cultivating a strong, healthy and attractive body. I tell them that if they would just exercise 2 to 4 times each week they would feel a dramatic improvement in their daily life, starting with renewed energy and strength. Then I bring up the health benefits and explain how many of their health problems would improve or even disappear. I talk about how great they will feel, and look, dropping those extra pounds and rediscovering a slender figure. Even with all this experience in excuse squashing, there used to be an excuse that would leave me stumped. The sneaky excuse of ‘I’m active’: Oh, I don’t need to exercise with a personal trainer—I’m very active. I play golf and tennis and Wii. Well, that is a good excuse, right? Golf, tennis and Wii are all active sports that burn calories. Maybe you can be fit without doing any other exercise… And then I started noticing a trend. The ‘golf’ people couldn’t touch their toes in a simple flexibility test. The ‘tennis players’ couldn’t jump rope for 60 seconds. The ‘Wii players’ needed a week to recover from a one mile jog. The so-called ‘active’ people encountered injury after injury. And then it hit me. You can’t become fit simply by being active. Only by being fit can you become more active. To be lean and to maintain a level of fitness there is no substitute for a consistent, challenging exercise program. It’s the only way, folks. To truly be fit is when your body is able to do whatever you ask of it. This comes from a combination of flexibility, strength and endurance. So, do you exercise? Or are you fooling yourself with the idea of ‘being active’? How do you feel about your current level of fitness? Are you able to do each and everything you want? Or do you end up opting out of activities that you know would be too challenging? If you’ve used the excuse of ‘being active’ in the past, take a minute to reconsider your position. Don’t bank on your ‘active’ lifestyle with the hope of true results. Call or email me today to get started on an exercise program that will make you truly fit. And if you’re furthest from active but simply want to lose those extra inches and pounds, make the decision to contact me today. As they say…there’s no trial run in the game of life.

5 Great Reasons to Exercise Here you go, 5 more motivating reasons to start a challenging exercise program today: • Exercise makes you feel better about yourself. • Exercise improves your mood. • Exercise reduces the risk of chronic disease. • Exercise eliminates unwanted pounds. Exercise improves longevity.
