welcome Welcome to this edition of your members’ magazine. The year is starting to fly by already as we quickly approach another winter in the Wollondilly. In this edition we will highlight a number of community based activities that Bargo Sports is supporting or involved in. Grand Opening – It was wonderful to see members and their guests’ turning out for the opening of the new alfresco deck, lawn, and kids all weather play areas at the end of March. CHP Director Malcolm Tyler handled the official duties on the day which was also attended by CEO Dean Thomas and COO Lloyd Pollard. It was a great day and enjoyed by all. Web and Social Media – Along with the new alfresco spaces now available for members, we have also launched our new web page, check us out at www.bargosportsclub.com.au Our Club, Our Community – I am pleased to report that the “Our Club, Our Community” partners program is continuing stronger than ever, with Bargo Sports Club engaging with more community groups and sporting clubs than ever before. See over the page for sporting clubs your club is affiliated with. Put this support alongside every school and most pre schools in the area, plus Wollondilly Community Links and the Rural Fire Brigade, you can be very proud of what your club contributes back to the community. Beyond Blue Fundraiser – For the third year running, the club is proud to support the Beyond Blue initiative. Club member and Wollondilly Knights player Chris Underwood is the driving force behind the night. Please see over the page for details. We hope to see as many members as possible at the club on the night.

School Holiday Activities – Member Deidre Fitzsimmons continues to organise activities for the kids during holiday times. See details on page 7. Wednesday Meat Raffles support the Community partners program, tickets on sale from 6pm and drawn from 7pm. These raffles are staffed by our local community groups each week with all proceeds going to their respective cause. Wednesday Night Members $1,000 count down – Swipe your card on entry to the club on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for a chance at the weekly jackpot amount. Draws at 6.30pm, 7.15pm and 8pm and win up to $1,000 in cash. As the numbers reduce, the jackpot grows and so does your chance of winning. Lucky Starr & Morning Melodies – One of the original star’s in the Australian music scene will be here to entertain you on Thursday 23 July. Tickets on sale for just $5 and includes a light morning tea before the show. A special lunch menu is also available after the show. Our Club, Our Community What’s New On Friday 27 and Saturday 28 March Bargo Sports celebrated the opening of its new family-friendly deck, lawn area and kids’ playground with two days of fun-filled activities the whole family enjoyed. The existing outdoor decking which overlooks the bowling green has been significantly expanded. There’s plenty of space for friends and family to enjoy the morning or afternoon sun, and to have a quick drink, a light snack, lunch or dinner. The new-look decking space is 140 square metres, which comfortably seats around 90 people. Prefer to sit in the winter sun at picnic-style tables? Relax and unwind and watch or participate with friends on the green. There’s plenty of space for the kids to play whilst the adults play or chat the afternoon away. The kids will be impressed by the new 156 square metre children’s playground that features oodles of creative play equipment. Parents can also get peace of mind, knowing the play area is securely fenced and that the area is within sight of the greens and the alfresco dining area and is fully covered and weather protected. It is open now, so why not pop in and see for yourself. Keep the kids busy, grab a bite to eat and relax.
