Campers may register for camp up until the Monday of that camp week if there is space available. The first two weeks of camp, payment in full is due at the time of registration. Scholarship approval is required prior to registration. Space is limited to 60 campers per week for Camp Craz and 36 for STS.

Scheduled Payments If you are registering for 3 or more weeks and not able to pay for your child’s camp in full at the time of registration, you can schedule your camp payments by completing a Pre-Authorized Charge Form. Each week of camp requires a $20 non-refundable non-transferable deposit, per participant at the time of registration which will be applied towards final payment due for each week. Once camp begins, the balance of your weekly camp fee will automatically be processed on the Monday one week prior to your child’s camp week.

Refund Camp deposits are non-refundable non-

If full fees have been paid, a refund less the $20 deposit and the $5 processing fee will be issued, if notice is received by filling out a refund request form 10 or more days prior to the start of the camp week. Master Artist Workshop
Handbuilding and Surface Design with Carol Gouthro Ages 15 and up • $125 Saturday, June 22 • 10-4pm
It’s all about the surface; experiment with color, pattern and form in this hands on workshop. We will begin by making slab built platters, plates and bowls to use as our canvas for exploring numerous surface design techniques. Carol will bring forms to work with and demonstrate the process for creating handbuilt dinnerware. Color, pattern and texture are very important elements in Carol’s work and we will experiment with some of the many techniques she uses to achieve her rich layered surfaces; including carving texture rollers, stamping, creating patterns, using stencils, slip transfer techniques, shellac erosion, wax resist, wax inlay and scrafitto. All supplies provided. Carol Gouthro is a Seattle based ceramic artist and educator who has been maintaining a studio practice and exhibiting for over 40 years. Carol has an extensive exhibition record of solo, invitational, and juried exhibitions, including the current installation of her work in the forum at the Bellevue Arts Museum, Washington, which will be on view for a year. Carol teaches workshops internationally, and will be teaching at La Meridiana International Ceramic School in Italy, May 2019 and at the Gaya Ceramic Art Center in Bali Indonesia in August 2019

Pollinators: Garden and Wildlife Habitat Restoration #1137 Morning workshop: 9AM – Noon Class presented by Julie O’Donald. In August 2012, a rare pollinator was discovered in Julie’s habitat garden. In this class Julie shares tips about landscape features that promote healthy pollinator populations. She will also provide a look at native plants beneficial to pollinators and show ways to incorporate native plants into garden and park landscapes. She will explain the steps that led to making a pollinator friendly garden and the re-discovery of a missing pollinator, Bombus occidentalis, aka Western Bumble Bee.

Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event (CRASE)
Avoid, Deny, Defend Community Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) is a program developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training organization based in Texas. Seconds are precious in an active shooter event and what you do, or don’t do can save your life. Taught by local law enforcement officers, CRASE is an interactive program designed to provide community members with strategies to survive.
