Arbor & Earth Day Celebration Mathison Park, 533 S 146th St, Burien Friday, April 20 from 2–4 p.m.

The City of Burien will be celebrating both Arbor & Earth Day at Mathison Park. The event will include an Arbor Day ceremony and tree planting at 2 p.m. After the ceremony, attendees can help celebrate Earth Day with a short park clean-up and installation of native plants. Adventure Pals

Join us in Burien for a fun, parent/ child playgroup for children ages 24–36 Months. Enjoy time together singing, learning, and getting messy in an inclusive playgroup led by an Early Childhood Specialist. Children will develop friendships with a variety of peers, including peers with special needs.

Classes are held once a week on Mondays OR Wednesdays.

Create a beautiful mandala using strips of colorful paper that are rolled, looped, curled and glued together. SEW Camp: Make Your Own Quilt

Create your very own small quilt using a sewing machine and hand stitching while learning to sew or add to your sewing skills. Learn how to cut fabric, sew straight seams, make quilt blocks, follow sewing directions and use your creativity. We will also make bookmarks, a fabric pouch and stitched felt key tags to practice our sewing skills. Students must provide their own quilt fabrics, quilt batting and thread. Sewing machines and basic sewing supplies will be provided.

This class is structured around stretch, strength & breath. Designed to incorporate awareness of self, inner quiet and focus. It will also be challenging and fun, so get ready to move! Scheduled Payments If you are

registering for 3 or more weeks and not able to pay for your child’s camp in full at the time of registration, you can schedule your camp payments by completing a Pre-Authorized Charge Form. Each week of camp requires a $20 non-refundable non-transferable deposit, per participant at the time of registration which will be applied towards final payment due for each week. Once camp begins, the balance of your weekly camp fee will automatically be processed on the Monday one week prior to your child’s camp week.

Credit Card Declines A NSF fee of $25 will be charged to your account if your card is declined for any reason. If remainder of that camp weekly fee and the NSF charge isn’t paid in full by 5:00pm on the following Tuesday, one week prior to the camp week, the $20 deposit is forfeited and camp participant will be withdrawn from that week of camp. Refund Camp deposits are non-refundable nontransferable. If full fees have been paid, a refund less the $20 deposit and the $5 processing fee will be issued, if notice is received by filling out a refund request form 10 or more days prior to the start of the camp week. If less than 10 days, you will be charged 50% of the total week fee, per participant.

SPECIALIZED RECREATION TOPSoccer The Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPSoccer) is a community-based soccer program for boys and girls and men and women, aged 4 years and older, who have a cognitive and/or physical disability. The program is based on skill level, not age, and participants include players, coaches, and buddy-volunteers who are paired with each player to assist with the game. TOPSoccer creates an environment where all participants make lasting memories and simply have fun with the game! Create a beautiful mandala using strips of colorful paper that are rolled, looped, curled and glued together. This senior exercise class is performed entirely in the seated position. It will consist of a light warm up, stretching and breathing exercises.
