Summer in Design Den at the Mayborn Museum
Join us this summer in Design Den as we make, tinker, and create around different themes in Design Den! Some activities in Design Den will be provided for all ages, while activities taking place in Design Den Studio (the back area) will require that participants are 8 years old or older. Design Den Studio participants will be required to sign in on a release form before entering Design Den Studio. If the participant is under 18 years old, a parent or legal guardian will be required to sign in the participant. Special activities in Design Den will be offered on the following dates in July:
Building
Make your own dowel rod sculpture or wooden creation. Tinker with string art in Design Den Studio. • July 29 - 31 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm & 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

The Central Texas Literacy Coalition will meet to celebrate International Literacy Month on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 3 p.m. at the Waco-McLennan County Library, First Floor Meeting Room, 1717 Austin Avenue, Waco, TX 76701 for its quarterly meeting. Kent McKeever, Executive Director Greater Waco Legal Services will be the presenter. He will discuss services provided to the low income community who cannot afford needed legal services. Additionally, check will be presented to 5 selected non-profits who have a goal of literacy. The public is invited to attend.
